Of Berford Lake, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Friday, August 3rd, 2007. The former Jean GAINES in her 66th year. Dear wife and best friend of Bob for 49 years. Loving mother of Chris and her husband Joe BETTE, of Owen Sound; Brian and his wife Linda, of Coe Hill; Bob and his partner Heather, of Sarnia; and Bill and his wife Kristine, of Guelph. Forever loved by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her sisters Carol and her husband Ernie ROBERTS, Joy and her husband Ron LUXTON, and Nancy and her husband Bill WILLIAMS and sisters-in-law Lorraine and her husband Dave TRICK, Eleanor McCUTCHEON, Joy CLOUGH (and friend Louie,) and Bonnie and her husband Doug SMITH. At Jean's request cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041 on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 6: 00-9:00 p.m. A celebration of Jean's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. Mary TURNER officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Wiarton Hospital Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated. In living memory of Jean a Flowering Crabapple tree will be planted and dedicated during the service in the funeral home meadow by the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel. LUXTON, Joan " Jill" Kate
On June 7th, 2007, in her 89th year, at the Langley Gardens care facility, Langley, British Columbia. Survived by her sons Gerald (Lorraine), Stephen and Richard (Sharon) and her granddaughter Alysha and extended family and Friends worldwide. Most loved and devoted wife of Colin, predeceased. A lady of many diverse talents in many ways an enlightened woman before it became d'rigeur. She will be remembered as a woman of great fortitude, considerable propensity and unyielding loyalty.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy., Langley, British Columbia, V34A 4G6, 604-530-6488 on Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 at 2: 00 p.m.
