MYLES,
John
Douglass “Jack” “Zeke&rdquo
Of Wiarton, on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 at the Wiarton Hospital
after a brief battle with lung cancer, in his 76th year. Husband
of Mary (née
WRIGHT;) father of Pete (Dawn) of Fergus, Dave,
Scott (Shannon), Kent (Josie), all of Wiarton. Grandfather of,
according to Zeke, “the best looking bunch of grandkids you've
ever seen”: Zeke (Crystal), Amanda, Melissa (Scott), Drew, Tyler,
Davyn, Anna, Sam, Erica and Jack. Zeke was owner/operator of Jack
Myles BA / Gulf Station for 25 years. He was a proud member of
the Wiarton District Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years.
Zeke appreciated his many connections with the community. Literally
- “Jack of all trades - master of none”. He enjoyed his variety
of endeavors and his career as a sailor, gas attendant, ambulance and
hearse driver, fire fighter, car washer, grave digger, labourer,
apple picker, stone mason, janitor, gardener and grandfather. A hard
working and honest man; his quick wit and smile will be missed
by all of us. At Zeke's request there will be no service, however,
Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering at the home
of Kent and Josie Myles, 114 Division Street on Saturday October 13th,
2007 from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements
entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel, Sauble
Beach (519) 422-0041. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate
donations made to PSDS Elementary Music Department, and may
be made through the funeral home. In living memory of Zeke an
Elm tree will be planted in the funeral home meadow by the Thomas C.
Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel. Condolences may be expressed
