ORMISTON, John William
Formerly of Harbour Square, Toronto died on September 24, 2007 at Bridgepoint Hospital, at the age of 90 years. John, long retired from Canadian National Telegram, was a member of the Canadian Power Squadron, and an avid collector of books and memorabilia respecting power boats and automobiles, all of which he generously gave to interested organizations shortly before his death. John was a ham operator with call number VE3BFP. A funeral service will be conducted at 2: 30 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Trull 'North Toronto' Funeral Home, 2704 Yonge Street, Toronto (416-488-1101), followed by a burial service at 12: 30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Ormiston Family Plot in Sterling, Ontario.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services Markdale on Saturday November 3, 2007 of Flesherton in his 85th year. Loving husband of Ethel MARTIN. Dear father of Larry (Shirley) of Priceville and Linda TEETER (Allan DOWN) of Annan. He will be loved and remembered by grandchildren Sherry (Jon), Sabrina, Samantha; Michael (Juliet), A.J. (Amy), Adam (Heather); step-grandchildren Jeff, Brent and Chris, great-granddaughter to Kyrsten. Dear brother of Doris MANN of Scarborough and the late Jean BLUETT, Madeline ORMSBY, Doug, Eleanor WILLIS, Edith LONERGAN, Evelyn GILL and predeceased by son-in-law Steve TEETER. The family received Friends at Fawcett Funeral Home Flesherton on Tuesday November 6 where services will be held on Wednesday November 7 at 1 p.m. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, in Meaford. Memorial contributions to Centre Grey Health Services Foundation would be appreciated.

Peacefully in his sleep at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007. Henry Francis (Frank) COURTNEY, of Chatsworth moved on to his just rewards. He was in his 77th year. Dearly beloved husband of Sharon COURTNEY (nee CALLENDER.) Loving father of Blaine COURTNEY and his wife, Patricia, Brian COURTNEY, Brent COURTNEY, Debbie ORMSBY and her husband, Leonard, Cindee ZIDAR and her husband, John, Kim LEONARD and her husband, Martin and Marjorie WESTROP and her husband, Dave. He will be sadly missed by eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and six sisters. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Ima COURTNEY, seven brothers and four sisters and his two grand_sons, Tony ORMSBY and Christopher COURTNEY. Friends may call at the Brian E. Orville JOHNSTON, son of the late Gordon and Gladys KINGSWELL) JOHNSTON, passed away at Errinrung Residence in Thornbury on Monday October 29, 2007 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of the former Mary Rosalie SIMS of Meaford and loved father of Tom and his wife Sally of Leeds, England and Michael and his wife Angela of Ottawa. Dear brother of Deda (Mrs. Donald ORMSBY) of Owen Sound, and Lois (Mrs. Keith JOHNSON) of Guelph, and brother-in-law of Robert SIMS of Elmvale. Fondly remembered as a special uncle to several nieces and nephews and their families and as a nephew of Grace (Mrs. Glen REID) of London, Ontario. Family will receive Friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday November 1st at 1: 30 o'clock with cremation to follow. Interment and committal of Orville's cremated remains will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford at a later date. In the veterans wing at Sunnybrook, Margaret died in the afternoon of December 26, 2007 at the age of 101¾. Amazing mother and grandmother to Pam and Claire WATTS. Steadfast, loyal and true. Beloved Aunty Margaret to George ORMSBY and his family, Anne BRAUND and her family, Ken ORMSBY and his family and to Fraser and Joan BURTON. Spirited sister-in-law to Chester McKERGOW, Robin and Jean MILLAR and to Pat and Nancy MILLAR. The oldest and longest surviving sister to Dorothy, Hazel and Gordon. A proud Canadian who served her country in India, promoted Canadian Physiotherapy, "Burtie" to campers and counsellors at GBC and volunteer reader at Canadian National Institute for the Blind for 20 years after retirement. Beloved husband of 64 years to Frances Eileen (née MAXWELL) SPEARN. Loving father of Ann (Norman DOWDS) of North Vancouver, British Columbia, John (Diana, née ORMSTON) of Waterloo, Scott (Paula, née MARSDEN) of Toronto, Greg of Hidden Valley, P.A., and Robert (Jill, née JENNER) of Rossland, British Columbia Loving grandfather of Matt, Adam, Emma, Blair (Julia SCHNEIDER), Brooke (Scott DOWLING), Max, Ainslie, Sarah, Lucie, Sam, and great-grandfather of Ellie DOWLING. Dear brother-in-law of Ean MAXWELL (Pat GIBSON) of Saanich, British Columbia "Charlie" devoted his entire professional life to the health care industry. He served with the Canadian Navy during World War 2 and thereafter continued to serve the medical community as a supplier of medical products. He always balanced his commitment to business with his love for family and anything the outdoors had to offer.
