River Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, June 07, 2007, after a
brief illness. Born in Mindemoya, daughter of the late Watson
and Sadie (née
VAN
HORNE)
SMELTZER. Survived by her husband Ross
BARBER, son Malcom (Shelia)
BARBER of Walkerton, dearly loved
by grandchildren Brandon and Leticia. Also survived by her sister
Alma (Allan)
TUSTIN of Mindemoya, her brother Keith (Dianne)
SMELTZER of Owen Sound, sisters-in-law Mary Cathryn
SMELTZER
of Amherstburg, Annabell
SMELTZER of Mindemoya and several brothers
and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by two brothers. Shirley is lovingly
remembered by all her nieces, nephews and everyone that knew
her. In order to fulfill Shirley's wishes there will be no funeral
home visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
Private interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara at a later date.
Memorial donations to the New Nurses Lounge Intensive Care Unit
Grand River Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
