(Retired - Bell Canada and Real Estate in Toronto and Niagara)
Peacefully on Thursday December 27th, 2007 at Extendicare Mississauga. Loving Dad to Dan and his wife Lynda, Lori DEWAR- GERSTENECKER and her husband Ralph, Doug and his wife Laura. Beloved and devoted Grandpa to Paul and Jennifer DEWAR, Katie URAM, Matthew and Sarah DEWAR and Brett HORNER. Brother of Hector (Barrie,) Margaret McCRAE (Burnaby, British Columbia), Ruth Anne DEWAR (Owen Sound). He will be fondly remembered by 37 nieces and nephews throughout Canada. A Celebration of Kenneth's life will take place at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre-Mississauga, 1535 South Gateway Road (2 blks. south of Eglinton on Dixie Rd.) 905-602-1580 on Saturday January 5th at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. On November 26th, 2007 at his residence in Wasaga Beach in his 86th year. Charlie URBAN beloved husband of Eliz URBAN of Wasaga Beach. Dear father of Loretta URBAN- KEW (Norman) of Wasaga Beach. Grandpa to Geoffrey and Justin. Visitation was held at the Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 132 River Road E., Wasaga Beach on Thursday November 29th, 2007. Funeral Service was conducted at the Wasaga Beach Presbyterian Church, Friday November 30th, 2007 at 11 a.m. Burial in Oshawa Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

KENNEDY, Samuel McNee "Mac"
On Wednesday, June 6, 2007, our beloved former Samuel McNee, "Mac", of the Kennedy/ Urquhart/Christie clan of Uxbridge, peacefully slept away at his son's home in his ninety-fifth year. Mac, son of Samuel Jacob KENNEDY and Mary "Minnie" URQUHART of Cannington, Ontario, and grand_son of Robert KENNEDY and Jane TRAVIS of Uxbridge, Ontario, beloved Husband of the late Eva Juanita McMASTER of Montreal and Brockville, loving father of Doctor Samuel Michael KENNEDY, Prosthodontist, and his wife Carole GUERTIN of Montreal, dear grandfather to Jenny KENNEDY, Samuel MALCOLM and Charles Gregory KENNEDY, predeceased by his sisters, Donalda, Reta, Jean and brother Erskine. "Mac" was a mentor of life to all and will never be forgotten, but cherished in the hearts of all. "Mac", a Graduate of the University of Toronto Civil Engineering of '36, with detailed attention and enthusiasm practiced his profession for over 50 years. With respect to his life, "Mac, a job well done!"
Family and Friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of "Mac" KENNEDY's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11 a.m., service performed by Rev. Ruth DRAFFIN, of Saint_John's Presbyterian Church, Cornwall, Ontario, followed by a gathering in the Funeral Home Reception Centre and interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery. Peacefully, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Sunday, July 22, 2007. Margaret MacLAUGHLIN (née URRY) of Owen Sound in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Ken. Dear mother of Anne and her husband Jim NAKASHIMA and Jim and his wife Elizabeth all of Owen Sound and John and his wife Patchree of Thailand. Sadly missed by four grandchildren Ken and Will MacLAUGHLIN, Bess MacLAUGHLIN- NAKASHIMA and Samual MacLAUGHLIN. Also survived by her sister Frances and her husband Jim ARMSTRONG of British Columbia. Dewart FRY, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2007. He was 78.
Born in Hanover, son of the late Marvin and Irene née URSTADT) FRY. Dewart worked at Peppler Furniture as a Furniture Finisher. He was also a member of the Hanover Legion Branch 130 and a Veteran of the Korean War.
Survived by daughters Lynn (Alvin) JESSOP of Barrie, Nancy (Gary) COOK of Hanover, Cathy (Rick) BAETZ of Barrie; grandchildren Tyler JESSOP, Stacy JESSOP, Matt COOK, Mike (Sara) COOK and Chris BAETZ; great-grand_son Cameron COOK. Also survived by his brother-in-law, Bob LAMONT (Lynn) of Mount Forest, and sister-in-law Agnes FRY of Hanover. Predeceased by his wife Geraldine (LAMONT) FRY and brother Douglas FRY.
Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Hanover Legion Memorial Service at 6: 45 pm.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Rev. Alice WILSON officiated. Cremation to follow with interment in Holstein Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
