DUFF, Hew Ramsay
Passed away peacefully in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the age of 68. Formerly of Burlington, Ontario, Hew was the son of the late Hew (Duffy) and Helen (TOEY) DUFF. A graduate of Queen's University and an active volunteer in the Burlington community, Hew was committed to the principles of the Credit Union and Co-operative movement. He retired in 1993, after 27 years as Senior Vice-President of Human Resources with the CUMIS Group of Burlington, Ontario. Upon moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1994 Hew was a consultant with KPMG. Hew is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann Marie (STOTT;) daughter, Elizabeth READING (Ted), Victoria, British Columbia; son, H. Ramsay DUFF (Cathy), Antigonish, Nova Scotia; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann VIVIAN (David), Kingston, Ontario; Mary Jane CHISHOLM, Ottawa, Ontario; grandchildren, Emma READING, Victoria, British Columbia Alyson, Elizabeth and Peter DUFF, Antigonish, Nova Scotia; nieces and nephews, Ryan CHISHOLM; Carrie CHISHOLM (Jon Swann), Ottawa, Ontario; Luke and Katie Marie VIVIAN, Kingston, Ontario. Cramation has taken place. Burial will take place in Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston, Ontario. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel at Smith's Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) Burlington, on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Saint_Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday December 27, 2007 in his 77th. year. Beloved Husband of Gina (née BIASI.) Predeceased by his first wife Carmela (née VIVOLO.) Dear father of Antonietta SANDERS, Diana CAFAZZO (Paul BAGNELL) and Joseph CAFAZZO (Vivian.) Dear step-father of Mariella MacLELLAN (Roderick) and Joseph PALMISANO. Adoring Nonno of grandchildren Donny, Benjamin, Aidan, Ciara, Mark and step-grandchildren Jeremiah (Bethany), Sarah, Miranda and Kelsie. Doting Bisnonno of step-great-grandchild Adler. Devoted son of the late Giuseppe and Antonietta CAFAZZO. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lucia and Angelo DEVITO, Gina and the late Luigi CAFAZZO, Maria and Romolo VIVOLO, Tony and Carol CAFAZZO, Michelina and Franco DE MATTIA, Teresa and the late Piero OLOCCO, Bice and the late Tony VIVOLO, Palma BIASI, Assunta and Onofrio PETROSILLI. Donato will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Donato retired from Stelco after 39 years of service. A special thank you to the staff of the Saint_Joseph’s Hospital Hemodialysis and Complex Continuing Care Units. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint_Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Messages of condolence would be welcome at Visitation at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel 43 Barton St. East (near James) on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services Monday 10: 30 a.m. at St. Andrews United Church (479 Upper Paradise) with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. “Forever In Our Hearts”.

MacDONALD, Donald Clifford "D.C."
Born April 23, 1922 in Cobalt, Ontario. Died peacefully September 1, 2007 at Sunrise Senior Living in Unionville after a lengthy period of declining health. Predeceased by his wife, Valerie, in 1997, his granddaughter Kylie Mae ROOKE in 1993 and by all four of his dearly beloved siblings, most recently his sister Florence SIMONE of Royal Oak, Michigan on August 11th 2007. Passionate bridge player and ballroom dancer he is survived by his daughters Pamela MacDONALD (Tony ROCKINGHAM), Willow (Eric AAGAARD), and Marthe-Monique (Michael HOOK) and by his grandchildren Jamie ROCKINGHAM, Thomas and Sally AAGAARD and Tyler ROOKE. Thank you to Doctors VIVONA and HAW at Markham-Stouffville Hospital for their wise and compassionate care. Special thanks to Shauna CLAXTON and to the staff of the Reminiscence Floor at Sunrise, particularly Dennis DESOUZA. No service by request, private cremation has taken place.
