With his family at his side, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Roy HAMMELL of Owen Sound in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Lily (née THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON.) Dear father of Marlene and her husband Ron CALHOUN of R.R.#1, Elmwood, Don HAMMELL of Hanover and Elaine and her husband Bryce STEVENSON of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren Debbie RIBEY, Brian CALHOUN, Trevor CALHOUN, Kevin HAMMELL, Kim BROSS, Lisa McVITTIE and Sherry McCONNELL and eleven great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister May CORMIER of Tiverton and his sister-in-law Norma HAMMELL of Tara. Predeceased by his brother Lorne HAMMELL. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. Kristal McGEE officiating. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. No. 6, Owen Sound will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 1: 45 p.m.

Of Extendicare, Port Stanley on Monday, January 8, 2006, at her late residence, surrounded by her loving family in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Charles 'Charlie" PHILLIPS and dearly loved mother of Ronald and his wife Shirley PHILLIPS, Jeff PHILLIPS, Michael and his wife Demi PHILLIPS and Cheryl and her husband Garry LALE. Dear sister of Greta WILSON of Saint Thomas and June BALAZS of Tillsonburg. Dear mother-in-law of Roberta PHILLIPS, Marg BARENDREGT, Tina PHILLIPS and the late Betty Jane PHILLIPS. Dear sister-in-law of Ruth BAXTER and the late Graham (Bud) PHILLIPS. Cherished grandmother of Larry PHILLIPS, Tracey DAVIES and her husband Rob, James and his wife Maureen BARENDREGT, Peter PHILLIPS and his partner Kate McVITTIE, Steve PHILLIPS and his wife Kathy, Sondra GANTNER, Jed PHILLIPS, Greg LALE, Brent LALE and his wife Melissa, Michael LALE and his partner Jodi MARISSEN, David LALE and his wife Danielle. Predeceased by a great-grand_son Jamie. Dear great-grandmother of Paul, Brandi, Ashley, Michelle, Emily, Nicholas, Veronica, Jackie, Bobby, Chelsey, Jackson, Dylan, and Kaitlyn and also survived by five great-great-grandchildren. Maxine was born September 7, 1920 in Elgin County the daughter of the late Russell and Bessie (KENNEDY) McKIBBIN. There will be no visitation or public service. A private family service will be held. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes in Calton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Saint_Joseph's Hospital Neo Natal Unit or the Elgin County Archives. DEGUERRE, Edward Ross Belfry
In his 83rd year, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - K Wing after a long illness on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Born in Newmarket, the second youngest of the late Ross and Frances DEGUERRE. Predeceased by his first wife Virginia REID. He will be remembered with great love by his children Peter (Julia) DEGUERRE, Vicki (Keith) CARRUTHERS, Christopher (Julie) DEGUERRE and very special grandfather to Zachary, Oliver, Madelaine, Lindsay, Carlyn, Deanna, Olivia and Charlotte. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Frederick (Betty) DEGUERRE, Frances YATES and Diana McVITTY and predeceased by his brother Daniel DEGUERRE. He was the fond uncle of Carol (Leon) BROAD, Douglas (Erika) DEGUERRE, Dianne (Alan) WOODS, Gregory (Sharon) YATES, Suzanne (Rodney) DARWIN, Brian (Diane) McVITTY, Patricia (Reinhard) GRICHTING, Susan (John) VINCENT and Catherine McVITTY (Regan TAKENAKA) and many cousins, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his second wife Mary Ursula CRAFT and sadly missed by her children Michael (Jackie) CRAFT, Elizabeth (Wayne ALLSIP), Paul (Giselle) CRAFT and Steven CRAFT, their children, and a very special friend Jane Morris. The family wishes to thank all of the marvellous caring staff/good Friends of Sunnybrook Hospital K2 Centre. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Edwards's life at Eglinton St. George United Church, 35 Lytton Boulevard (at Duplex Avenue), on Thursday, August 16 at 1: 00 p.m. Reception to follow at The Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Avenue. As an expression of sympathy, a charitable donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. 'Ed will always be remembered by his love, kindness and generous spirit.'
