In Marg's own words "I came from a political family, may oldest
brother was the first Mayor of Allen Park, Michigan. The youngest
brother was Mayor of Parry Sound. Not much to gossip at the dinner
table. Congratulating or criticizing politicians was the topic.
I attributed my successes in politics, as in life, as being a
good listener. I would realize immediately when someone knew
more about a subject and I would pick their brains. One of my
favourite reporters was the late Jim Norton. One day I received
a copy of a remark I made that had hit the Sarnia Observer. "Right
On" had been written on it. I was very pleased to receive praise
from Jim Norton. A month or so later I got another note with
an article attached and the note said "Marg you are out in left
field" ". Margaret was actively involved in Church and community.
She was twice President of Saint_Joseph's C.W.L. Friends will be
received at the Knights Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway,
