Passed away peacefully on Thursday January 3, 2008 at his residence Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Ward was born in Waterloo Township, 94 years ago a son of the late Milton G. and Susanna (SWARTZ) WEBER. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Milverton. Ward had farmed with his wife Dorothy at R.R.#2 Baden for many years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Erma STOLTZ who predeceased him March 17, 2001. Loving father of Charlotte and Chuck SCHIEDEL of New Hamburg and David and Kathy WEBER of Sauble Beach. Sadly missed by grandchildren Cindy FORTUNA, Tracey and Steve PERSCHBACHER, Michael and Kay WEBER, Tricia and Shawn DRENNAN and by great-grandchildren Katherine, Joseph, Sarah, Ellen, Rachel, Leanne, Craig, Janessa, Bethany, and Jeremy. Lovingly remembered by brother Stewart and Marion WEBER of London, sisters-in-law Reta STOLTZ of Waterloo and Ludena WILTSE of Kitchener. Also remembered by Michael FORTUNA and a number of nieces and nephews. Ward was predeceased by sister Myrtle and husband Cleason SCHNIEDER/SNIDER/SNYDER. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 20th, 2008. She fought cancer with unyielding courage for three years while living life to the fullest with her husband, family and many Friends. Barbara leaves behind a treasury of special memories across her 74 years. She is survived by Angus, her loving husband and partner of 47 wonderful years. Dear mom to Marc (Michele,) Derek (Kellie,) Scott, Andrea (Jeff) BEACH. Sister to Tom (Grace), and twin Howard (Liz), and sister-in-law to Jim and Pert, Dorothy and Trevor, and Peggy. Proud and adoring grandma of Danielle, Jonathon, Jacob, Laura, Cassandra, MacKenzie, Emily and Jack. Endearing and spirited aunt to her nieces and nephews. Fun-loving, quick-witted and energetic, Barbara's spirit and verve would light up the room, especially when filled with her large circle of Friends and family. Barbara loved to travel, entertain, play golf and bridge, and treasured her relationships with loved ones in Toronto, Sarasota, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Burlington, hometown Alliston and beyond. The family expresses sincere appreciation to Doctor John BLONDAL and the nurses in the Oncology Clinic at Saint_Joseph's Hospital. Their care, dedication and treatment helped to extend Barbara's life for three meaningful years, a gift that Barbara and those around her cherished. We would also like to thank Doctor David SWARTZ and the caregivers from Community Care Access Centre for the compassion provided during Barbara's latter days. Former principal of St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School
At home, surrounded by her family, dear wife of the late Stewart H. BULL, cherished mother of Catherine (Richard GOLD) and Muriel (Ken OLSEN,) adored Granny of Laura, Susanna and James. Also survived by loving aunt Jessie BARROWCLOUGH, and sisters Billie SAWELL and Jessie BURNS. Born in Hamilton, she graduated as a recognized scholar from the University of Toronto in 1944. She had a long career as teacher of English at high schools in Gore Bay, St. George, Windsor and Toronto, before serving as principal of St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School in Oakville from 1974 until her retirement in 1983. With remarkable integrity and care she mentored countless young people, and became a committed benefactor of many humanitarian and environmental organizations. A gracious and gifted lady blessed with a fine intellect, Doris inspired admiration and affection wherever she went. She was a longtime member of Saint Thomas's and All Saints Kingsway churches.
The family extends deep appreciation to Doctor Felippa MEFFE, physician and dear friend, and to our wonderful palliative team of Doctor David SWARTZ and Victorian Order of Nurses Elaine WELSH, and special caregivers Yolanda and Malou.
