one sister and grand_son. Victor retired in 1980 from Ontario
Steel Products (Meritor). He also served for many years as a
Court Constable serving in the Family and Juvenile Courts. Vic
was an avid outdoorsman who spent many pleasurable days fishing
and hunting small and large game. He was also a Master Hunter
Education instructor. As a leather craftsman, many of his hunting
buddies personally carry their rifles in his hand crafted gun
cases. Many family and Friends have been on the receiving end
of various handcrafted items. Vic was a veteran of the Second
World War serving with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve
from 1942-1945. He was better known for his association with
the militia-first the Kent Regiment as a boy bugler and then
after was part of the Bugle Band. When the Kents amalgamated
with the Essex Scottish and became the Essex and Kent Scots he
served with them for many years. Vic ended his army days with
the 59 Legion Highlander Cadet Corps where he served his last
4 years before retirement as the C.O. He was the R.S.O. for Cadets
training at Camp Ipperwash for several years. During his early
retirement years Vic was a Big Brother to 3 little brothers.
He is the first life member of this organization. Vic was a member
of Holy Trinity Church, the Chatham Sertoma Club, Royal Canadian
Legion Br 28., Royal Canadian Navy Association, Hospitaller Order
of Saint_John of Jerusalem (London Commandery), the Southwestern
Ontario Longbeards Association (Turkey Federation) and a life
member of the Essex and Kent Scottish Regimental Association. Family
and Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair
Street Chatham, Ontario 519-351-2040 on Sunday from 2: 00 to 4:30 p.m.
and and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. A Naval Association service will take place

AGLERON for her kindness and caring attention to Norma during

of London. During Etta and Bill's 67 years together, they resided
in London, Chatham, Hamilton, Sudbury and Etobicoke, where Bill's
career in the plumbing and heating industry took them. Together
they enjoyed many trips to Britain and Europe as well as winters
in Florida. For many years Etta was an ardent volunteer with
the Toronto Western Hospital Auxiliary, serving a term as president
and was named an honorary life member. Cremation with interment
in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto. A service celebrating Etta's
life will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park
Road East, London on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 12: 00 o'clock
noon. The family wish to thank the wonderful staff at Chelsey
Park Retirement Community for the respect, care and compassion
which they showed Etta over the past eight years. Donations in
Etta's memory to the charity of your choice would be greatly
appreciated.

Helen was a wonderful woman whose life was devoted to family.
She lit up rooms with her charismatic energy and enduring beauty.
She was a private woman with a mysterious quality that enhanced
a dry sense of humour, uniquely her own. Helen always took the
high road and was constantly attentive to the needs of family
before herself. She taught us the importance of laughter and
simple pleasures and instilled within us the importance of tradition
and family loyalty. She passed away with a quiet dignity that
typified her way of facing adversity. We will miss her and are
proud to have had her in our lives. Friends may call during the
hour preceding the memorial service which will be conducted at
the James A. Harris Funeral Home, 220 Saint_James Street at Richmond,
London, on Sunday, January 20 at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation has taken
place. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would

son of the late Winnifred and
Frank WILEY of Kitchener, Ontario. His was a life fully lived.
He was always quick with an anecdote to fit any occasion and
traveled to most social gatherings with a harmonica in his back
pocket. His many talents included teaching, writing, story-telling
and carving. Jim was a graduate of Saint Michael's College (U of
T), 1950. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine (U of O)
in 1955. For many years he practiced Orthopaedic Surgery at the
Ottawa General Hospital and
at Children's Hospital of Eastern
Ontario. He held the positions of Treasurer, Secretary and President
of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. He was most active in
medical research and continuing education. He was dedicated to
his teaching roles within the University of Ottawa as Professor
of Surgery (Orthopaedics), past Assistant Dean of Postgraduate
Medical Education and Co-ordinator of Medical Faculty Alumni.
He will be sadly missed by his many worldwide Orthopaedic colleagues.
A mass in celebration of Jim's life will be held at Saint Peter's
Parish Roman Catholic Church, 1640 Heatherington Road, Ottawa
on Saturday, March 8th at 11: 00. Respecting his wishes, there
will be no visitation. Please join us for a reception of celebration
at the Ottawa Hunt Club following the mass. In lieu of flowers,
donations would be welcomed to either the Children's Hospital
of Eastern Ontario Foundation or the Innovative Community Support
Services, 4723 Birchgrove Rd., Cumberland, Ontario, K4B 1R3.
