The family of the late Mavis DILLMAN would like to thank our family, Friends and neighbours for their support during our time of sorrow; for prayers, cards, flowers, donations, phone calls, visits and food. A very special thank you to Doctor Gord WILLANS, the F-Wing nurses and the Cancer Clinic nurses at Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville for their excellent medical care of our mother during her struggle with cancer. We are grateful for the comforting words and spiritual guidance of Rev. Janet ERIKSEN the assistance of Norm JACK and staff at McMillan and Jack Funeral Home; the memorial service music by Maxine COPELAND, the Dundalk United Church for use of the lower hall to visit with family and Friends and the Dundalk United Church Women for preparing and serving lunch and following the memorial service. Ann OGONOSKI passed away December 20th, 2007 at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 60. She will be dearly missed by her husband Chris; children K.C. WILLCOCK, of Calgary, Angela MAITLAND (Tim) of Toronto, Laura OGONOSKI (Al) of Calgary, Paula OGONOSKI of Ft. McMurray and Melanie OGONOSKI of Paris nine grandchildren and one great-grand_son. Ann is also survived by her mother Dolores HENDERSON of Owen Sound, four brothers and sisters Heather SORENSON (Paul) and David HENDERSON (Janet,) all of Shallow Lake and Paula CAMERON and Rick HENDERSON (June) all of Owen Sound; and many other relatives and Friends. Ann was predeceased by her father Harry HENDERSON in 2005. Ann was born and raised in Owen Sound. In 1975, she moved west with her family settling in Calgary in 1976. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at Calvary Missionary Church, Owen Sound at 2: 00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

He emmigrated to Canada in 1948 and lived in Port Elgin for 2 years before moving to Ellice Twp. where he farmed at Lot 26 Con 7 most of his life. He was a member of St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church, Kinkora. Beloved husband of the former Loretta RUSTON. After a long and full life, Jack died on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Saint Mary's General Hospital. He celebrated his 91st birthday on June 26th. Jack is survived by his beloved wife Mary (JAMIESON,) to whom he was married to for 65 years. He will be lovingly remembered with pride by his children, Jim and his wife Pauline HARPER of Waterloo, Susan and her husband John PALMER of Kitchener and George and his wife Doris HARPER of Waterloo. Jack was a great role model to his grandchildren and will be fondly remembered by them John HARPER and his wife Megan, Cynthia and her husband Derick ROSE, Stephen PALMER, Jill WROBEL, Tania and her husband Alan WILLEMSEN and Tiffany and her husband Ron VAN SOMEREN and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rev. Betty PUGH and her husband Rev. Bill PUGH of Waterloo. He was predeceased by his parents Grace (MICKLE) and George H. HARPER and sister Helen DURNAN. Jack served his country with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada in Canada, The Caribbean, England, France and Holland. He was appointed Honourary Colonel, Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada in 1990. He began his career as a lawyer 1948 when he joined Walter McGibbon to establish the firm of McGibbon and HARPER. Through numerous mergers in his law career, Jack eventually retired from Gowlings as General Counsel December 31, 2007. He was the former President and Director of the Waterloo Insurance Company, former Vice-Chair and Director of The Economical Mutual Insurance Company and a former Director and Chair of the Board of Directors of The Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada. He was Past President of the Waterloo Lions Club, K-W Counselling Services, Westmount Golf and Country Club (Honourary Member), Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo and Area and The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation. He was a former Chair and member of First United Church, a former member of the Board of Governors of Wilfred Laurier University, was selected as one of the early recipients of the K-W Citizen of the Year Award, named a Paul Harris Fellow and most recently the City of Waterloo named a new library in his honour, the John M. Harper Public Library. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jack with his family at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday, July 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday, July 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate his long and full life will be held at First United Church, King and William Streets in Waterloo on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Luella was the daughter of the late James J. ELLIS and wife Elizabeth (née SACHS) ELLIS. Beloved wife of the late Earl R. PATTERSON. With grace and dignity, after a long and fruitful life, the family of William Henry UHRIG announce his sudden passing on Sunday, March 30, 2008, in his 90th year, at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton, Ontario. Loving and devoted husband of the late Mabel Lange UHRIG. Much loved father of Sandra REINHARDUS and her husband Carel of Southampton, Bob and his wife Carol Ann of Grand Bend, Bill Jr. and his wife Dana of Milton and Judy MERRITT and her husband Colin of Waterloo. Outstanding grandfather to Keri Leggett DAVIES and her husband Brad of Dorchester, Jodi Merritt BARENDREGT and husband Chris of Ingersoll, David and girlfriend Julie of Guilford, Connecticut and Jessica UHRIG of Kitchener. The best great-grandfather ever to Kai and Annie DAVIES. Survived by brother, Norman of St. Catharines, by sisters, Merle, Mrs. Stan HARROD of Brantford and Marguerite, Mrs. Leslie SMITH of Hamilton, as well as brother-in-law Ernie LANGE of Sault Ste. Marie and sister-in-law Marjorie LANGE of Scarborough and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father John Henry, his mother Lulu Mae, brother Jack and sisters Vida, Mrs. Clarence WARE, Lorraine, Mrs. Wilfred REINHART, Beatrice, Mrs. Russell GIBBONS, and Madeleine, Mrs. Ted WILLIAMS. He is now reunited with his loving wife Mabel and his grand_son Andy UHRIG. He will also be sadly missed by his morning coffee clutch. Born and raised in Southampton, (Little Stratford), with the exception of his service during World War 2, Bill spent his entire life in the town of his birth. He spent 47 years in the furniture trade, working at Fitton Parker Furniture, and retiring in 1983. After retirement, Bill continued his artistic talents by building and selling handcrafted pieces of furniture in his own woodworking shop, while mentoring others interested in the trade. In later years, Bill became an avid collector of bygone era memorabilia. Bill was a private man, who loved a good joke, and who was intensely proud of his family, and mesmerized by his great-grandchildren. Bill was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 155, in Southampton, for 62 years. WILLIAMS, Cecil H. (Lt. Ret.)

Canadian Army Veteran 1941-1969
Peacefully at Longworth Long Term Care Centre in London, Ontario, at the age of 88. Born in Wombwell, England, Cecil became a Canadian in his late teens and enlisted at 21 years old. Cecil was proud to serve Canada through World War 2 and beyond. Upon retirement, he continued to serve his community for over a decade at Woodgreen Community Centre in Toronto. Cecil was an avid skier, gardener, story teller, and most of all, a great golf enthusiast. Always a gentlemen, he was known far and wide as a brew-master and as a bargain-hunter extraordinaire. Cecil was predeceased by his wife Mildred " Millie" (née BROOKS,) son Kenn WILLIAMS and spouse Lorraine. Cecil is lovingly remembered by his daughter Donna McLAUGHLIN and spouse Brenda of Bancroft, Ontario, Lynda WILLIAMS of Toronto, grandchildren; Grant and spouse Kellie WILLIAMS of London, Ontario, Blake WILLIAMS of Barrie and Paige McLAUGHLIN and spouse Sterling of Toronto, and 8 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to give our deepest thanks to the Lily Community staff at the Longworth Long Term Care Centre for their dedicated care and compassion over the past 6 years. Friends and family are welcomed to a visitation and prayer ceremony to Celebrate Cecil's Life from 1-3 p.m. on Friday March 21st, 2008 at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road, North, London, Ontario. Visitors are also welcome to the Interment at 2: 00 p.m. Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario. It is with sadness that Emma and Michael (Boo) GRAY/GREY, along with their parents, Mike and Cheryl announce the passing of "Grandma Jean". After living a very long and healthy life, Patricia Jean WILLIAMS age 91, passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Saturday, March 15, 2008, following a very brief stay. Jean was born in Brigden, and was a lifelong resident of Courtright. She lived at the house she grew up in, until a couple of years ago when she made Twin Lakes Terrace (Sarnia) her home. Jean is predeceased by her husband Alwyn (2002) and her parents William and Edna (DUNN) RANDALL. She is survived by her cousin Robert GRAY/GREY and his wife Mae and their children Sandra, Dwayne and Naomi PARSONS and Linda and Dean WILKINS. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. Dearly loved husband of Lenore (WEST) FLINTOFT and loved father of Kimberley and his wife Wendy FLINTOFT of Aylmer, Kathy and her husband Brian WILLIAMS of Aylmer and step-father of Christine CLUNAS of Saint Thomas. Loved grandfather of Jon, Mike, Curtis, Jennifer, Amanda and Racheal. Dear brother of Jean and her husband Morley BROWN of Saint Thomas, Ruby and her husband Bill EDEN of Sweaburg and the late Dorothy JAGOE. Sadly missed by 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Saint Thomas on July 3rd, 1932, the son of the late George Albert and Alma Grace (MUNROE) FLINTOFT. He was retired from Laidlaw Transport and also had driven for Hepburn Transport. Bob had received an award for over 3,000,000 miles of safe driving. He was a member of the T Meadow Hunt club, an avid outdoorsman and trap shooter. Father of Wayne WILLIAMS and his wife Elsie of Surrey, British Columbia, Mike WILLIAMS of St. Catharines, and the late Mary Beth WILLIAMS (1981.) Grandfather of Ashley, Nikki, Matthew, Ross, Lacey and Leanne. Brother-in-law of Ken and Teddi JONES, and Lillian JONES, all of Saint Thomas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Southwold Twp., Ontario, August 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Herbert and Agnes (KEILLOR) WILLIAMS. Ken was a retired electrical mechanical foreman with the Carleton County Board of Education and formerly was a supervisor of maintenance services with the Elgin County Board of Education. He was a member of Lord Elgin Branch #41, Royal Canadian Legion, Saint Thomas. During the Second World War, he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Regiment. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Ed was a resident of Fiddick's Retirement Home and farmed on Brigden Sideroad in Moore Township all his life. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Evelyn (née (PRUDOM2007,)) his father James (1918,) his mother Mary (1976), and his mother and father-in-law Tom and Millie PRUDOM. Ed is survived by his two sons and their families Allan and Elaine of Petrolia, and their children Susan (Ron BIRD,) Stacey (Tim WILLIAMS) and Patricia (Monia TOUSIGNANT) and Bruce and Mary Ann of Petrolia, and their children Brian (Natallie) and Bradley (Shannon). He will be missed by his five great-grandchildren, Stephen and Andrea BIRD, Ashley, Stephanie and Wesley WILLIAMS and Simon HARRIS. Of Saint John died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 11, 2008. Born on December 4, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to Thomas and Alma (WILLIAMS) STAUFFER. He was brought up in London, Ontario and moved to Saint John in 1963. Tom worked at Sommerville Industries, Wayside Industries, Consolidated Bathurst, Maritime Paper and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Radio. He was an avid hunter and fisher and belonged to the Atlantic Salmon Federation, Hammond River Association and Balls Lake Fishing Club. "Never met a person who didn't like or respect Tom". Survived by his wife, Violet (COLLINS;) son, Thomas (Theresa) of Quispamsis daughter, Linda (Fred) SHERWOOD of Saint John; four grandchildren, Ann Marie, Jennifer, Ryan and Matt; three great-grandchildren, R.T., Jacob and Lydia; two brothers, James (Lorraine) STAUFFER of Florida and Watrous (Nancy) STAUFFER of London, Ontario.

Family and Friends celebrate the life of Florence Arleen GRAHAM who passed away peacefully at Marian Villa in London in the morning of July 4, 2008. Arleen, the wife of the late Sydney Amos GRAHAM was in her 91st year. Predeceased by parents Arthur Lorne and Florence Edythe WILLIAMS of London as well as brother Harvey WILLIAMS of London and sister Florence WILLIAMS also of London. Beloved mother of Carlann Arleen DAUPHINEE and husband Victor of Calgary. She is lovingly survived by three grandchildren Heather, Megan and Jane DAUPHINEE, one great-grandchild; Jennifer Arleen DAUPHINEE- MENDELSON and many adoring nieces and nephews. Arleen was born in London on September 7, 1917, the daughter of a railway man who taught her to take pride in her appearance and to always be on time. Arleen lived in east London until she was married at which time the family moved into their Richmond Street address where she remained until December of this year. As a young woman she enjoyed her work with Zellers, London Life and Young Men's / Young Women's Christian Association. She was a long time devoted member of Robinson Memorial United Church where she was involved in the United Church Women, taught Sunday school and conducted many fundraising social events. Arleen's marriage to Sydney Amos GRAHAM was a love story for the ages. After waiting six long years for him to return from prison camp during World War 2, they were married in Ottawa immediately upon his return. Sweethearts for 66 years, they were married for 56 years. Visitation will be held in the Needham Funeral Chapel (520 Dundas St. London) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Private family interment. It is with gratitude for a life well-lived that his family announces the passing of Allan Davis McEACHERN on January 10, 2008. Predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Gloria, he is survived by his loving wife Madam Justice Mary NEWBURY, his daughters Jean WILLIAMS (Michael) and Joanne EVANS (John,) his grandchildren Bria, Stephen, Jenna, Laura, Rosalind and Ian, his brother Bruce, his sister Lillian McDONELL, and many nieces and nephews. Allan was the grand_son and son of pioneering British Columbia families who instilled in him a love of 'God's country', the magnificent natural setting of British Columbia and an appreciation of his Scottish heritage. In his earlier school years he spent the winters in Penticton due to his asthma but later was able to stay in Vancouver and attend high school at Kitsilano and Lord Byng, where he made many lifelong Friends. He spent his youth playing team sports (rugby and football) and swimming in the waters of English Bay, where later in life he spent his leisure time 'crashing around the Bay' in his sailboats Skye I, II, and III. He also loved the mountains of western Canada and treasured the memory of a summer spent as fire lookout above Lake Louise. Allan attended University of British Columbia and completed his B.A. and Bachelor of Law degrees (l950). He practiced law at Russell and DuMoulin (now Fasken Martineau DuMoulin) in Vancouver for 28 years before his appointment as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia and later as Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal of British Columbia. Law was his passion. He loved the collegiality of the profession and firmly believed in the Shakespearean principle 'Strive mightily in court, but eat and drink as Friends.' All those he befriended attest to his integrity, humility, energy, intelligence and sense of humour. He was a superlative mentor to many talented law students and took great pride in his establishment of the Inns of Court program. He was a progressive Chief Justice in that he initiated and encouraged the use of computers by all judges, set up an interactive webpage and created a Legal Compendium for the public to keep abreast of legal decisions. Many female lawyers and judges owe much to his efforts to open the profession to women. In addition to his profession, he co-founded the Kats Rugby Club and was actively involved with the British Columbia Lions and the Canadian Football League for many years. More recently, he wished to acknowledge the important role University of British Columbia had contributed to his many successes in life, and accepted the Alumni Association's nomination to run as Chancellor. It was a position he held with great pride and dignity for almost 6 years. We are blessed for having known and loved this remarkable man. In keeping with Allan's wishes, there will be a reception held at a future date. He requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to establish a University of British Columbia Law Scholarship for a deserving student so that he or she might have the opportunities Allan had.

(February 28, 1950 to May 14, 2008)
Professor of Anthropology at McMaster University, Hamilton. Doctor SAUNDERS held a Canada Research Chair in Human Disease and Population Origins and founded McMaster's Ancient DNA Centre. Doctor SAUNDERS was North American editor of the International Journal of Osteoarchaeology and was elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 2001. Shelley received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Toronto in 1977. Her numerous research projects, in places such as Italy, South Africa, France and Canada received international recognition and were the subject of television documentaries. Her work in forensic anthropology received considerable media attention and one case in particular was the subject of an extensive series of articles in the Hamilton Spectator. Her greatest love, however, was developing and working with her graduate students. Shelley took great pride in their accomplishments. Despite her long battle with cancer (colon cancer, kidney cancer and pancreatic cancer) and despite having to undergo hemodialysis six days a week for the past 5 years, Shelley continued her teaching and research programs. Her latest book entitled 'Biological Anthropology of the Human Skeleton' was co-edited with Doctor Anne KATZENBERG and was just recently published (March, 2008). Shelley leaves behind her sister, Geri KIRKPATRICK, her brother, Robert SAUNDERS, her two children, Robert and Barbara KOLOSHUK, her husband of 37 years, Victor KOLOSHUK, and a host of current and former graduate students. Shelley has just established a scholarship for graduate students in anthropology at McMaster University and her family requests that rather than sending flowers, Friends consider a donation payable to 'McMaster University - Shelley Saunders Scholarships' c/o Mary J. ATKIN, John Hamilton " Jack"
Born August 12, 1928 in Leamington, Ontario; died peacefully on May 19, 2008 in his 80th year, exactly 10 days after accepting the news of the extent of his cancer with courage and dignity - the same realistic way he dealt with every other challenge he faced throughout his life, particularly during his last few years with limited mobility and multiple health issues (to quote him, this was just another 'curve ball'). He was surrounded during his last days by love, family, Friends, music, and of course, Flowers. Needless to say, he was telling jokes right up to his last hours of consciousness. He was much loved and will be missed by his children Greg and Carolyn ATKIN, Jay and Mary Maureen ATKIN, Virginia ATKIN and Keith AMBACHTSHEER, and Jacqui ATKIN and Laurie FRASER; his grandchildren Melissa ATKIN and Mike RYAN, Sean and Lori ATKIN and Peter AMBACHTSHEER. He was also very close to and will be missed by his sisters Jane JOHNSON, Bette SHARPE and Ruth STOREY. There are also numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly remember their Uncle Jack, cousins, a multitude of Friends, and a brother Bill. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Edith (JACKSON) ATKIN, his step-mother Agatha (WILSON) ATKIN his brother Don ATKIN, his brothers-in-law, far too many Friends, and his soulmate, Mary (ROBERTSON) BLAIR, with whom he is now reunited. Always a visionary, Jack was a pioneer in the growing, mass marketing and distribution of flowers throughout his career. He was one of the first flower producers to introduce the sale of potted plants and cut flowers to major food chains and department stores. In carrying on the family business that his father started (Atkin's Flowers, then Yoder-Atkin), he advanced the year-round propagation and sale of chrysanthemum cuttings to North American markets, and was a great believer in plant breeders' rights. His innovation for packaging and distribution led the way for the success that exists in today's flower industry. He also started the direct sales business at Ontario Flower Growers. Known as 'Action Jackson', he was also an avid volunteer in numerous organizations - he was one of the founders of the Cecil Delworth Foundation and the Canadian Ornamental Plant Foundation, a strong supporter of Flowers Canada and The Canadian Horticulture Council, and served on the Board of the Royal Winter Fair when they introduced the flower show into the annual program. Jack has always been recognized by the flower industry of North America and has been given many awards for his contributions over the years. He was also involved in building the Leamington District Memorial Hospital in the 1950s. His interests included having the best garden in town, curling, Kinsmen, tennis, barbershop singing, playing cards, scotch, dancing (even in his wheelchair) and more recently being a Claremont Calendar guy! Jack was always proud of the lifelong Friendships he made along the way with so many people, including his colleagues, most of his clients, and his competitors. His life was about 'caring and sharing'. He will be remembered by his 'power of positive thinking' approach to life, his loyalty and Friendship, the flowers he always had for everyone, and his lifelong ambition to make people smile. Jack's family is very grateful to Lynn WEBSTER, Natalie COPPOLINO and the entire Staff of The Claremont Retirement Residence for making the last few years of his life so happy (and the Residents, too); to Doctor Mary GOSPODAROWICZ of The Princess Margaret Hospital, and Dianne WILLIAMS and all of the very special Palliative Care Nurses at Saint Michael's Hospital for their care and compassion in easing the pain for Dad, and helping his family through this last part of his journey Dr. Gary MAY and the Gastro-Intestinal Team at Saint Michael's Hospital as well as Doctor Carmen MUELLER and Doctor Catherine WONG. Suddenly on Thursday, May 22, 2008, in his 57th year.
Rick will be greatly missed by his son, Matt and his daughter-in-law, Jen, his parents Isabelle and Gordon, his brothers David and Jeffrey, and by the extended Williams family in Canada and in Wales who worked with him to construct his beautiful and detailed history of the Williams family. His great love of classic cars and his thirst for knowledge will live on in all those who knew him.

GILRAY, John Stuart Alexander, D.V.M., V.S.
The family of horse lover and equine veterinarian Doctor John GILRAY is profoundly sad to announce that their husband/father/grandfather has succumbed to cancer at the age of 78. John died peacefully in his sleep on June 5, 2008. He was the beloved partner of Connie SANDERS, much-loved father of Stuart (Linda) GILRAY, Barbara (Tom) WIEBE, Ann GILRAY and Janet GILRAY (Rick LETESTU,) and much-loved brother of Barbara WILLIAMS. " Grampa▲ John▲" will also be greatly missed by Vanessa, Paige and Jillian WIEBE, Dallas GILRAY and Mitchell POTTS.
Passionate about horses from age 13, John always considered himself lucky that his vocation was also his avocation. He graduated in 1954 from the Ontario Veterinary College and practiced equine medicine first in Ontario and then in British Columbia from 1959 to 2007. His accomplishments and contributions to the equine world were many and varied. In 2004, he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Horse Council British Columbia for outstanding service to the horse industry of British Columbia, and that same year the Royal Horse Show in Toronto made him an Honorary Veterinarian in recognition of 50 years of volunteer service.
During his career, John was an Equine Canada judge and steward an FEI veterinarian; chairman of Zone 5 of the Canadian Horse Shows Association and a national vice president of its successor, the Canadian Equestrian Federation; founder of the Northwest International Horse show, which under his 15-year chairmanship was the premier all-breed indoor show in western Canada; founder and first master of the Fraser Valley Hunt; Visiting Commissioner of the Canadian Pony Club and co-founder of three British Columbia Pony Club branches. As an equine practitioner, "Dr. John" was universally respected for his professionalism, knowledge and integrity. As a friend, he will be remembered for his compassion, sociability and sense of humour. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at Victory Memorial Gardens, Surrey, British Columbia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

Peacefully, with her family by her side, in her 93rd year, Mary died July 6, 2008. Beloved wife of Keith WARREN, predeceased by her daughter Nancy Louise WARREN (1951-1997,) sisters Margaret WILLIAMS, Lillian▲ BARNBY and brother, Doctor Stewart FERGUSON. She will be fondly remembered by family and Friends, daughter Pat WARREN- CHAPLIN (Gary CHAPLIN) and son Don WARREN (Huong), adored Grandma of William and Cynthia WARREN. Special moments will be cherished with many nieces and nephews (Joanne WILLIAMS, Fraser WILLIAMS, Rod FERGUSON, Janet FERGUSON (deceased), Joyce CARRINGTON, Stephen HAYWARD, Rolin WARREN, Lynne WEST, Hilda WRIGHT, Arlin WARREN, Stuart WARREN (deceased,) Doctor Ronald RICHARDS, Robert RICHARDS, David RICHARDS, Helen GRIFFITHS, Jean HAMLIN). Graduated from McMaster University '35 (English). Taught school in Hamilton, Clarkson and Oakville. Active in United Church Women's Association, Women Teachers' Association, University Women's Club and Home and School Associations. In later life she became an avid gardener. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Memorial Service to be held July 11th at 11: 00 a.m. at Saint_John's United Church, 262 Randall Street. Family will welcome Friends and relatives at 10: 00 prior to the service. World War II Veteran - Queen's Own Rifles, D-Day Survivor
Passed away January 25, 2008, at the Veterans Wing of Sunnybrook Hospital.▲ Beloved▲ husband of 64 years of Beryl WILLIAMS. Dearly loved father of Virginia and Brian. Predeceased by his brothers Reg, Bill, Curly, and Gord. Harry was the assistant trainer with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1940's. Coached novice hockey at Ted Reeve Arena for over 30 years. Harry was instrumental in the training of many top quality athletes during the 50's and 60's. Harry will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and life long Friends. A very special thanks to K 2 east wing staff and recreation therapists for their care and support. A private service with interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will take place. A celebration of Harry's life will take place at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Veterans Comfort Fund would be appreciated. Suddenly at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on March 12, 2008, at age 51. Ron, beloved husband of Debbie UNDERHILL. Loving brother of Louise GAUVREAU and her husband Jeff WILLIAMS. Cherished uncle to Michael, Lindsay, Teri Dawn, Lezley and Rachel. Captain Ron McMANN spent the past 31 years providing dedicated service to the citizens of Toronto and will be sadly missed by his many Friends and colleagues over the years. Friends may visit at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel 467 Sherbourne St. (south of Wellesley), on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service complete in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Passed away peacefully on March 12, 2008, in her seventy-seventh year. Wife of the late Allan MAINE and dear friend of Barney Devlin. Loving mother of Susan WILLIS (Steele's), Thomas (Anne), Gail LANGFORD (Al), Gerald, Karen ANTONEW (Patrick), and the late Nancy and Alfie. Dear grandmother of Wade and Dale MAINE and Jessica WILLIAMS; dear great-grandmother of Cassandra, Faith, Austin and Erika.
