AIR, Florence Alyce (née MARTIN)
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Florence AIR at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge, while vacationing on Lake Rosseau, on Thursday, July 17, 2008. Beloved wife for 53 wonderful years of Sandy. Loving mother of Cindy and her companion David. Sadly missed by her faithful pet dog Coby. Predeceased by her grand_son Christopher Kevin, parents Will and Lily MARTIN, brother Bill (World War 2) and sisters Dolly and Joyce. Survived by her sister Eileen PENA of Florida. Also remembered by her nieces Valerie and her son Eric, Lori (Roy) and their son Alec, Elaine and her daughters Courttney and Chaynell, Marilyn and her children Shane, Saun and Lisa; Beverly, Marco and Romona and nephews Billy, Teddy and John; sister-in-law of Betty and her husband Carl, John and his wife Mary, Fred, and Mary AIR, (Peter - deceased) and their families. Also predeceased by George and Ann AIR. Fondly remembered by many longstanding Friends, including the ladies from the Whitby Dunlops. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter 'Peel' Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10 North of Queen Elizabeth Way), from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Cam was born June 21, 1929 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away December 25, 2007 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Anne Elizabeth Roblin BAIRD.
Survived by his wife Esmé M. BAIRD, son David BAIRD of Burlington, Ontario, Esmé's daughters Tania (Jack) ANDERSON of Calgary, Alberta., Marsha (Colin) McGRUER of Saanich, British Columbia, Christine (Rob) HEEMSKERK of Calgary, Alberta., Grandchildren Luke, John, Sarah, Jordan and Kyle and many cousins across Canada and U.S.A. Last but not least, his favourite Aunt E. Alfrieda MacLEAN (102 years) of Victoria, B.C.
Attended St. Georges School in Vancouver, British Columbia and U.B.C. in Vancouver, British Columbia for his Law Degree.

He enjoyed many wonderful years on Protection Island, only moving to Nanaimo when bad health threatened. Cam enjoyed many active years in the Masonic Order in Calgary Alberta (Bow River #1) in Vancouver/Richmond British Columbia (Centennial/King George #171) and Nanaimo, British Columbia (Nanaimo Lodge #110) and Scottish Rite (Colville Lodge of Perfection)
Cam dedicated endless hours as a driver, dispatcher and finally Vancouver Island Co-ordinator for the Freemasons' Cancer Car Program.
A date for a Memorial and Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation would be appreciated to The Masonic Community Charities Fund, Cancer Car Program, c/o 3589 Country Club Drive, Nanaimo, British Columbia V9T 1T8. First Memorial Funeral Services

Peacefully, at age 90, on June 13, 2008 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Wife of 63 years to the late Gordon Powis PIM. Sister of Margery KING. Mother of Barbara GAY (David), Elizabeth, Linda (Paul AIRD) and Carolyn. Grandmother of Emma McKAY, Julia GAY, Jonathan GAY and Ellen BURCH. Nora led a full and rewarding life and will be lovingly remembered. A memorial service to celebrate Nora's life will take place at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Mount Royal United Church, 1800 Graham Blvd., Montreal, Quebec H3R 1G9. In lieu of flowers, the PIM family requests donations to the Endowment and Memorial Fund of Mount Royal United Church.
