ASELSTYNE, age 94, formerly of Grand Bend.
Born in Ottawa in 1913. Beloved husband of the late Helen Maude
(BENSON)
ASELSTYNE and Elsie
(VEIWIGG)
ASELSTYNE. Predeceased
by brothers Robert of Orillia and Gordon of British Columbia.
John was a World War II Veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Upon his discharge from the Royal Canadian Air Force, he joined
his father-in-law, Tom
BENSON, at Benson-Wilcox Wholesale in
London. Later moving to Beach O'Pines in Grand Bend, he worked
in real estate, as well as being a lay minister at Saint_John's
By-The-Lake Anglican Church. Music was always a big part of John's
life, celebrated with many celebrities in his home. His many
nieces and nephews living across Canada and the United Kingdom
will cherish their memories of times spent with him. Funeral
services will be held at Saint_John's By-The-Lake Anglican Church,
Grand Bend, Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 12 noon. The Rev. Brad
DUNBAR officiating. Cremation and interment Woodland Cemetery,
London. If desired, memorial donations to Saint_John's By-The-Lake
Anglican Church, Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Bend or charity
