Dear mother of Mark and his wife Tanya of Owen Sound, Ian of Tara and Craig and his wife Beth of Barrie. Sadly missed by three grandchildren Jacob, Matthew and Michaela. Daughter of the late Paul and Frances FAST. Sister of Elaine FAST, Marcia FAST and her husband Brian HUPKA and Duane FAST. Maureen LADLY, formerly of Mimico, passed away peacefully at her residence in Heathcote and with her family beside her on Monday March 3, 2008. The former Maureen AUSTIN, beloved wife of Jack LADLY of Heathcote, at the age of 57. Loving ‘Mom' of Eric LADLY and Dan LADLY and his wife Jessica and sadly missed ‘Gramma' of their children Austin, Alivia and Hannah. Family will receive Friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, The Valley Chapel, 20 Alice Street East, Thornbury on Thursday afternoon from 2 until 4 and in the evening from 7 until 9 o'clock. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 32 Elgin Street in Collingwood, on Friday morning at 11: 00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Ed was a resident of Fiddick's Retirement Home and farmed on Brigden Sideroad in Moore Township all his life. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Evelyn (née (PRUDOM2007,)) his father James (1918,) his mother Mary (1976), and his mother and father-in-law Tom and Millie PRUDOM. Ed is survived by his two sons and their families Allan and Elaine of Petrolia, and their children Susan (Ron BIRD,) Stacey (Tim WILLIAMS) and Patricia (Monia TOUSIGNANT) and Bruce and Mary Ann of Petrolia, and their children Brian (Natallie) and Bradley (Shannon). He will be missed by his five great-grandchildren, Stephen and Andrea BIRD, Ashley, Stephanie and Wesley WILLIAMS and Simon HARRIS. Anna AUSTIN, beloved wife of Grey, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2008.
Anna was born in West Bay, Cape Breton. She attended Normal School in Truro, Nova Scotia and studied voice in New York and Toronto. Anna came west to Calgary in 1953 where she taught in the public school system. She met Grey at an Allied Arts Centre musical evening at Coste House. They were married on August 20, 1955 and together Anna and Grey shared a life long love of music and the arts.
Anna is survived by her husband Grey; sister Mary MacINNIS; son Charles AUSTIN (Isabella;) daughters, Janet AUSTIN (Ashley,) Patricia AUSTIN- EDY (Brian), Joan SIMMINS (Geoffrey); and many nieces and nephews. She took delight in her four grand_sons, David, Michael, Andrew, and Rowan. Anna was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Janet and brothers, Ian, Allister, and Cameron. Anna will be remembered for her devotion to family and her kindness and respect for all people.

BROWN, Frances Patricia (formerly EVANS, FOWLER, née CAWKER)
Frances passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at her home in Etobicoke, following an illness. A life-long west-ender, Fran met her soul-mate Bob EVANS when she was just sixteen and enjoyed a more than thirty-year honeymoon with him until his untimely death in 1975. Theirs was an example of true love that inspired all who knew them. Fran went on to marry and enhance the lives of James FOWLER (1985) and Norman BROWN (2007) with her special warmth and humour. Fran will be missed by her four children Linda GUTHRIE, Robbie EVANS (Anni), Patti BAKER and Donna HORAN (Peter) and four grandchildren Aleah Louise and Arlan Evans BAKER, David James AUSTIN and Victoria Lea EVANS. Fran is survived by her sister Marion DIETRICH and brothers Frank (Penny) and Ross (Joan) CAWKER and the many relatives of the Cawker and EVANS families, and will be missed by so many, including the Brown family: Dennis, Gregory, Melissa and Allison (MASON.) Dear friends and family, do not doubt that she is once again in the arms of her darling Bobby, in peace and in love. At the age of 102 has gone to join her husband, Grant CREWE, her parents, Angus Bruce GLEESON and Margaret Adelaide PEET, of South Buxton, her granddaughter Kathleen, her brother Ivan GLEESON (Laura GOSNELL) of Chatham, sister Pearl (Bertram WRIGHT) of Merlin, all her in-laws and many others she knew and loved. Those who will miss her but celebrate her life are her sister Ola (John DUNCAN) of Florida, and her only child Nola CREWE and son-in-law Harold NELSON, her grand_son Derbyshire CREWE, his wife Vitoryha SHIELDS, their children, Grant and Devon; Kathleen's two children, Savannah and Dylan; her granddaughter Morgana CREWE and husband Michael KOZUROK; her granddaughter Verity CREWE- NELSON and husband Alexander AUSTRIACO and their daughters, Ella and Olivia; her granddaughter Victoria CREWE- NELSON, her husband Craig MOORE and their son Graeme; and many nephews and nieces. A talented woman who loved and excelled in sports, the Boulevard Club was her home away from home since 1932 (known then as the Parkdale Canoe Club) when she married and moved to Toronto. Fern enjoyed both work and play, and from her early days as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse, through a variety of careers, Fern returned to work as a curling pro when her husband died in 1965 and continued working until she was 85. Living independently in her Parkdale apartment, bridge, curling, oil painting, bowling, travel and her family occupied her years in retirement until at the age of 97 she moved to Chester Village following a stroke. She will rest at the home of her daughter at 74 Riverdale Avenue, Toronto on Wednesday 20 February 2008 and Friends are invited to call between 2: 00 and 8:00 p.m. Her funeral will take place at the Wycliffe College Chapel, 5 Hoskin Avenue, Toronto at 11: 00 a.m. on Thursday 21 February 2008. She will be interred with Grant at the Erie Cemetery, Wheatley, Ontario. Fern loved flowers, but would also appreciate contributions to The Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.

Passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 21, 2008 at the age of 47. Beloved husband of Anne (Miao). Devoted father of Reina and Erica. Cherished brother of Rene, Robbie, Rita and Riza. Greatly loved by his parents Maruja and Arturo. Fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Ron was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and friend. He will be forever missed by all of his family and Friends. Visitation at the Highland Funeral Home - Markham Chapel (northeast corner of 16th Ave. and 404) on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 4-9 p.m. Eulogies and prayer at 7 p.m. during the visitation. A mass celebrating his life will be on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the World Catholic Church (10411 Bayview Ave.). Cremation to follow for immediate family.
