of Wasaga Beach, Ontario announces his sudden passing March 4,
2008 while vacationing in Panama City Beach, Florida. Michael
is lovingly remembered by his wife Frances, his children, Christopher
(Michele STRAKA) of Toronto, David (Ruth
McCLENNAN) of Cobourg
and Lain of Kitchener, also his step-children, Ronald

(Thomas) of Barrie. He will be sadly missed by his 8 wonderful
grandchildren whom he dearly loved. Cremation has already taken
place and a Memorial Service will be held on April 19, 2008 at
Wycliffe Anglican Church, in Elmvale, Ontario at 3 p.m. Interment
to be held this summer in Morrisburg, Ontario. If desired, donations
may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke
Foundation in Michael's name.

Dr. Jack DIAMOND passed away suddenly in his home on Friday,
June 27, 2008 in Whitby, Ontario. He leaves his beloved wife
of 30 years (Margery
BIRD,) and will be sadly missed by sons
Michael, Ian and Jonathan
DIAMOND, and step-children Victoria,
Calvin,
Timothy,
Margaret (Peggy) and Henry
AVISON; he is predeceased
by children Julian and Liz
DIAMOND, sisters Kitts
(McCANN) and
May DIAMOND, and first wife
Elizabeth
DIAMOND.
Jack was born July 8, 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland to Gerald and
Ethel DIAMOND.
After receiving a medical degree from the University
of Glasgow and fulfilling an internship in Leicester, England,
he moved to Canada in 1956, settling in Port Perry, Ontario,
to practice general medicine. He later moved to Whitby, Ontario,
where he worked at the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital, specializing
in psychogeriatrics. A memorial service is planned for October,
the details of which will appear in this paper closer to the
date.
