SMALL, Wilbert " Bert" H.
"Went home to be with his Lord", peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Maple Manor, Tillsonburg, Wilbert " Bert" H. SMALL, formerly of Culloden, at the age of 84. "Bert" was born in Saint Thomas, son of the late Henry E. SMALL (born Saint Thomas) and the late former Emma (HOLTBY) SMALL (born Port Perry.) Much loved husband of 57 years of O. Mary (KELLY) SMALL. Loved father of Craig SMALL (Sharon) of Delhi Ken SMALL (Pam PHILLIPS) of London, Shelagh (David RAYMER) of Barrie; and Peggy (Mohamad AZIMI) of Acton. Proud and loving "Papa" of Michael; Wesley, Denver, Caroline; Sydney and Avery. Survived by two sisters Lenora BALL of Dundas and Annie WEB- PACKHAM of London and nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a sister Thelma SMALL and a brother Ernest SMALL. " The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the dedicated and caring staff at Maple Manor Nursing Residence, Tillsonburg for their outstanding and loving care for Bert." Cremation will follow with eventual inurnment in the Kelly family plot in the Delmer Cemetery. At her residence on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Irene E. SHANTZ (TOMLIN) (née WEIR) of Longworth Nursing Home, London and formerly of Wellington St. N., Woodstock in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Lorne I. SHANTZ (1992) and E.C. TOMLIN. Dear mother of Carol AZIZ and her husband Ted of London, Patti MARR and her husband Rennie of British Columbia. Loved grandmother of Scott, Mike (Denise), Sue (Peter), Kham, Cody and Stacey and great-grandmother of Ashley, Kristin, Kyla, Madisen, Gillian and Christopher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Gordon and sisters Norma and Nora. Irene was a life member of Chalmers United Church Woodstock where she was Past President and Treasurer of the United Church Women, Past President and Treasurer of the Victorian Order of Nurses, Life member and Past Regent of the Admiral Vansittart Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire, Past President and Treasurer of the Ladies Section of the Oxford Golf and Country Club, and also a member of the Woodstock Curling Club. DAVIES, Margaret " Peggy" (née CAHILL)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Margaret "Peggy" DAVIES (née CAHILL,) in her 85th year. Peggy passed peacefully in the loving arms of her husband, John Marshall DAVIES on Saturday, March 15th, 2008. Peggy was born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland on December 7th, 1923. "It's a long way to Tipperary" but Peggy was surrounded by her loving family from Halifax, Nova Scotia to various locations throughout Ontario. She is survived by her children, who brought her great joy: Patricia BLACKMAN (Jim), Ann DAVIES, Marguerite AZIZ (Robert), Shaun DAVIES (Nicole), James DAVIES (Jennifer,) Rosalind SWEENEY (Michael.) She was very proud of all 11 grandchildren and one great-grand_son: James (Emily) and Ashley BLACKMAN, Nicholas and Jonathan AZIZ, Kiefer, Madigan and Beckett DAVIES, Nigel and Tiernan DAVIES, Emma and Fionnuala SWEENEY and Michael BLACKMAN. Peggy was a dear sister and sister-in-law to Terry CAHILL (Margaret,) Phyllis GREENE, Maudie BLACK (Donald) and Peggy Vans AGNEW and predeceased Kathleen CAHILL. There will be a funeral mass held this Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. at Saint Martin of Tours, 46 Cathcart Street, London, Ontario. Many thanks to McCormick Home Alzheimers Outreach Services and the Catholic Women's League. In lieu of flowers donations to the McCormick Home Alzheimers Outreach Services or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
