2 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force Bruce was a retired probation
officer, a member of St. Hilda's-St. Luke's Anglican Church,
a Flight Officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force, a 15 year
member of the Elgin Regiment (Lt. Col.), a former member of the
Yarmouth #2 Fire Department, a member of the Association for
Community Living, the Elgin Military Museum, and the Golden "K"
Kiwanis Club and the Saint Thomas Curling Club. A service to celebrate
Bruce's life will be held Saturday, July 26th at 11: 00 a.m. at
St. Hilda's-St. Luke's Anglican Church (Elm Street,). Saint Thomas.
Rev. Pat BYRNE officiating. Entombment of the ashes in South
Park Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Hilda's-St Luke's

working mainly in the agricultural field. He was a "D-Day" veteran
of the Canadian Scottish regiment in World War 2. At his request
there will be no funeral service. His remains will be cremated.

16, 2008. Byron, a resident of Toronto, tragically passed away into the

Grandson of Martin Assinewe and Mary Assinewe of Sagamok. Byron will be
greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Byron
had a great love for music. He had many ambitions for a career in the
music he loved so much. Friends called at the M'Chigeeng Complex after
1.00 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral mass was celebrated at the complex on
Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11.00 a.m. with Fr. Jim Kelly as
