Passed away peacefully on Thursday February 7, 2008 four days
after her 92nd birthday. Eva was born in Winnipeg and moved to
Toronto after she married Joseph
LISS and was especially close
to her sister Agnes. Eva and Joe welcomed family, Friends and
neighbours into their home and will be fondly remembered for
their hospitality and generosity. Eva worked hard at many jobs
over the years. She took particular pride in her home care/ nursing
career in the 20 years before retirement. Eva combined energy,
discipline, firmness, and compassion to the great benefit of
her clients. Eva will especially be remembered for her keen interest
in young people, with whom she enjoyed long, wide-ranging conversations.
Eva is predeceased by her husband Joseph, her brother Nicholas,
sister Agnes and brothers-in-law Michael, Anthony, and Frank.
She is survived by many among her extended family, Friends and
neighbours who meant so much to her. The family would like to
thank the management and staff of Beechwood Court for their kind
and efficient manner in which they attended to the needs of Mrs.

while looking after the medical care over the many years of her
