Taken suddenly on Friday March 28, 2008 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Beverly. Dear father of Mary Jean and her husband Trevor EDMOND. Loving grandfather/father of Joshua. Will be sadly missed by his sisters Marie and her husband Walter EVANS, Jackie and her husband Jiggs PLAYFORD, Clare and her husband Larry KRAMER and Francine ROGERS, as well as his brother Jean and his wife Jackie. Predeceased by his parents Louis J. and Una Jeanne and his brother Tommy. Will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10: 00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Cremation. In Durham on Monday, January 7, 2008. “Bill” WATSON of R.R.#3, Durham in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Eira. Loved father of Joe (Pam) of Alberta, Sharon (Tom) of Elliot Lake and the late Linda BROTZEL. Dear brother of Reta EDMONDS of Newfoundland, Ruby MULLIGAN of Durham and the late George. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Lindsay, Nicole, Chad, Melissa, Jim, Joyce and Janice. The family will receive Friends at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Durham on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and Committal Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008. Interment Salem Cemetery, Proton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Durham Community Health Care Foundation Inc. would be appreciated.

MARTINELL, Jack Beverly
Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Thursday, May 1st, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Lavinia (FELLOWS) MARTINELL and dearly loved father of Ann and her husband Tim EDMONDS of Saint Thomas and Marsh and his wife Jane MARTINELL of Cambridge. Loved grandfather of David, Mark and Amy MARTINELL and Katie and Michael EDMONDS. Predeceased by 3 brothers Robert, Bill and Roy MARTINELL. Jack was born in Port Hope on October 12, 1930 the son of the late Percy and Christina MARTINELL. He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, a Mason and a member of Mocha Temple Shrine Club. A Private family service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Sunday at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow, with interment of ashes in the Old English Churchyard Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Trinity Anglican Church.

COURTICE, William Lloyd
Passed away peacefully on Monday May 5, 2008 at his home, with family by his side, in his 71st year. Bill of Stayner, beloved husband of Elsa. Loving father of Patricia HARRISON, Janet and her husband John EDMONDS, Bill COURTICE and his wife Jackie, Gary COURTICE and his wife Nicole. Dear grandfather of Shawn and Ashley EDMONDS, William, Courtney and James COURTICE, Katrina DUNLOP, Chrissy BUCKINGHAM and Kenny RODERER. Bill has loyally served the Canadian Forces for 35 years, joining as an apprentice soldier in 1954. During his career he completed 4 tours in Germany and tour in Cyprus. He retired in 1987 as the Regimental Sergeant Major Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics, but continued to serve the Canadian Forces as a civilian driver with Canadian Forces Borden Base Transport for a further 17 years. Friends will be received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main St.), Stayner (705-428-2637) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday May 8, 2008. A full Military Funeral Service will be held at the Trinity Chapel, Dieppe Road, Canadian Forces Base Borden on Friday May 9, 2008 at 11 o'clock. A reception will follow, for family and Friends, at the Canadian Forces Base Borden Chief Warrant Officer's Mess. If desired, remembrances in Bill's memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Care Centre, Barrie. CUMMINS, Beverly Anne (née COLLINS)
It is with great sadness our family announces the sudden loss of a beloved and devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and good friend to all who knew her, on Thursday January 3rd, 2008. Devoted daughter of Dorothy and the late James COLLINS. Loving mother of Vicky and her husband John EDMONDS and Louise and her husband Paul ORAM. Cherished Grammie/Mimi of Liam, Toria and Grace. Survived by her dear siblings George COLLINS and his wife Eileen and Mary PARANCHYCH and her husband Fred. Anne will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, her Irish and extended family and many Friends. Friends may call on Wednesday January 9th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Thursday January 10th, 2008 at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow. Interment, Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus at a later date.
