BERGLUND, Thelma " Tiny" Rebecca Jean
(August 12, 1926-July 8, 2008)
Surrounded by her loving family, we are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the University Hospital, London, Ontario. Loved wife of the late Victor Thomas BERGLUND. Dearly loved mother of Linda HILL, Susan EWEN (Roger,) Lee-Anne PUTMAN (Don,) and the late Philip Albert BERGLUND and Valerie Jean BERGLUND. Grandmother of Robert Scott HILL, Dean Thomas EWEN (Alison), Douglas Albert EWEN (Rebecca), Pamela Jean KELLY, Kevin Patrick KELLY, and Amanda PUTMAN. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Danica, Tristan, and Teegan. Sister of Vera McKENZIE and cherished by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff of the 7th floor, University Hospital, for the compassion and care given to Thelma and family during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation in Celebration of Tiny's Life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 1: 00-3:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, University Hospital Clinical Neurosciences Stroke Centre or to a charity of choice. EWENS, Nancy Margaret
(Co-Founder of International Boxboard Sales, Newmarket)
Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, in her 60th year. Nancy EWENS, proud mother of Trisha and dear sister of Barbara NOVACK and her husband Sheldon, Christina ATYEO and her husband John and Lawrence EWENS and his wife Brenda. Aunt to several nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by her co-founder of International Boxboard Sales, Donald REID. Friends may call at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston, Ontario. LEE, Lorna Isobel
Lorna passed peacefully away at Humber River Regional Hospital, Church Street, on Sunday, February 24, 2008, in her 94th year. She was born in Montreal on February 27, 1914, daughter of Bertha M. and W. Reginald LEE and sister to the late William R. LEE of Montreal and the late Eleanore J. EWERT of Toronto. Lorna was the much loved sister-in- law of Edna "Teddy" LEE of Lachine and the late David EWERT of Toronto. She dearly loved her nephews and nieces and will be greatly missed by Robert EWERT (Barbara) and Susan KIMBER (Michael) of Toronto, Beverley LEE and Lynda LEE of Montreal and Rod LEE (Sharon) of Dartmouth. She treasured her place in the lives of her great-nieces Robyn and Heather EWERT and great-nephew Chris KIMBER. Although she never met them, she received great pleasure in hearing about great-nieces Meghan and Emélie LARIVEE of Montreal and Erin Beth LEE of Dartmouth. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Sunday, March 2, 2008, from 2-4 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Noon at St. George's on-the-Hill Anglican Church, 4600 Dundas St. W., Toronto, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
