The family of the late Jeanne INSELL would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our loving family, many caring and generous Friends, neighbors, and health care workers for their support, kind thoughts, gifts of food, cards, flowers and memorial donations. A special appreciation to Lindsay and Briar JACKSON for their loving tribute to their Nana. The wonderful care given by the doctors, nurses and staff in the chronic care units at both, Saint Thomas Elgin Hospital and London Health Science Centre was greatly appreciated. A very special thanks to Jeanne's family doctor, Susan MacLAREN and also to Doctor DINGLE for his dedication and caring manner. Thank you so very much from the Insell, Statham and Jackson families.

WALTERS, Ruth Lavina (née INSELL)
Peacefully, on Monday April 28, 2008 at Extendicare Halton Hills. Ruth (née INSELL,) in her 100th year, wife of the late George WALTERS. Loving mother of Jane HAIGHT and her husband Con of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Paul WALTERS and his wife Nicole of London and Lynn CARSCALLEN and her husband Jeff of Georgetown. Dear sister of Harriet WATSON. Predeceased by her sister Louisa FLACKE and brother James INSELL. Also loved by her grandchildren Clifford, Gordon, Shellie, Karrie, Andrea and Scott and her 8 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Halton Hills, Georgetown Hospital and the Waverley Mansion, London. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, (905) 877-3631 on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday May 2nd, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery (493 Springbank Drive, London) on Monday May 5th, at 1: 00 p.m. In memory contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. BAXTER, John Elmer
Age 82, of Sarnia formerly of Brigden passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Bluewater Health, Mitton Site Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Marion Jean (LESTER) BAXTER (1999.) Deeply missed by dear special friend Bette CALDER of Sarnia. Loving father of Sheila (Sam) INSKEEP, Les (Kathy) BAXTER, Judy (Rick) LEACH/LEECH/LEITCH, Jim (Darlene) BAXTER, Ken (Margaret) BAXTER, Marybeth (Al) RICHARDSON, Keith BAXTER and John Jr. (Karen) BAXTER. Dear grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Survived by sister-in-law Bonnie (late Ross) (2008) LESTER and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Ellen (ARNEL) BAXTER, brothers Elvin, Franklin, and sisters Helen, Maude and Erma. John was a World War 2 Veteran and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion #635 Brigden. Friends will be received at Steadman Brothers Funeral Home, Brigden on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a Legion walk through at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. with Norm WITHERS officiating. Interment Bear Creek Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion #635 Brigden. HALEY, Frances Theresa
Passed away at Grey Gables, Markdale on Saturday February 23, 2008, Frances Theresa HALEY of Markdale in her 71st year. Daughter of the late Wilbert and Elizabeth HALEY (McGRATH.) Loving sister of Bernard HALEY (Pat) of North York, Elizabeth CHITTENDEN (Chuck) of Richmond Hill and Bernice CHITTENDEN (late Bruce) of Markdale. Sadly missed and loved by her nieces, nephews, extended family and Friends. The family received Friends at the May Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon and evening, where Vigil Prayers were held at 9 o'clock in the evening. Father Leszek SZCZYGIEL officiated at a Mass of Christian Burial held at Saint_Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Markdale on Wednesday February 27 at 11: 30 a.m. Altar servers were Bradley BLACK, Daniel, Sebastian and Simon GALLAGHER. Music for the mass was provided by the Black family and included the hymns "Prayer of St. Frances", "Queen of The Heavens", "Come Follow Me" and "Lord of The Dance". Annette, Kristen and Danielle CHITTENDEN provided readings. Timothy INSLEY, Paul MacMILLAN, Patrick, Michael, Brian and Chad CHITTENDEN served as pall bearers Daniel and Francine CHITTENDEN served as honorary pall bearers. Following the mass, Friends and relatives joined the family at Annesley Fellowship Hall for a time of sharing memories, along with musical accompaniment on the violin and piano by the Black family. A delicious luncheon was served by the Catholic Women's League. Spring interment in Saint_John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Glenelg Centre. Memorial donations were directed to Grey Gables Resident's Council and the Arthritis Society.

Peacefully, at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, Monday, March 31, 2008, Alfons GOOVAERTS, of R.R.#2, Grand Bend, age 68. Loved father of Kelly INSLEY (Allen) and Tracy GOOVAERTS- WELTEN. Loving grandpa of Brian, Gregory and Matthew. Dear brother of Louis GOOVAERTS of London. Remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Elza RUSTON and husband Keith, parents Maria Teresa (VAN HOVE) (1990) and Frans Medard GOOVAERTS (1973.) A Memorial Service will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman and Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Father Peter POEL officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Alhambra Hall, 10080 Klondyke Road, Grand Bend following the service.
