Suddenly at Hamilton General Hospital, on Tuesday February 26, 2008. Kathy JEFFARES (née PYATT) of Shallow Lake at the age of 62 years. Sadly missed by her husband Dave, and their three children Halle, and her friend Omer of Tottenham, Adam, and his wife Kelly of Holland Centre, and Dan and his wife Janet of Cambridge. Greatly missed by her five grandchildren, Candace, Kayla, Jordan, Foster, and Merick. Loving sister of Marshall and his wife Eileen, Lawrence, Kerry and her husband Leonel, all of Keswick. Sister-in-law to Lucy Anne and her husband Phil, Betty and her friend Don, all of London. Also missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Murray PYATT, and her mother Kathleen LEHMANN (nee LUCY.) A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 2 o'clock, at St. George's Anglican Church, Owen Sound. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place.

Passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 25th at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital▼ in her 61st year. Barbara, beloved partner of Ed LEAKEY and cherished mother of Heather and Louise, will be always be remembered by her precious granddaughters Brittany and Keziah, sons-in-law Peter HILSON and Harry BURGLER, as well as many Friends she considered to be family including Evelyn and Linda PARKER, Wendy FARNESS and Barb LEAKEY to name just a few. Surviving siblings include Betty, Reginald, Ross and Gloria, as well as siblings of her late husband James COX including Ron (Eve,) Irene (Norm) HENDRY, Ann▼ (Bob▼) RAWN, Bill (Karen) and the late Barb (Earle) OSBURN. Throughout her life Barb showed incredible determination in overcoming adversity and always appreciated having her days brightened by family, Friends, former neighbours, Bendix co-workers and Laundry Factory customers. She choose to be grateful for what came her way rather than to complain about what didn't and, while receiving excellent care from Doctor QUIGG, Community Care Access Centre, hospice workers and nursing staff on the second floor of the G&M Hospital during her final months, was able to eloquently remind us all about what is truly important in life. May her spirit live on to help make the world a better place. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Maud (JEFFERSON) ROZELL (January 8th, 1997) and dearly loved father of Robert and his wife Leona ROZELL and Kenneth and his wife Gail ROZELL, all of Saint Thomas. Sadly missed by 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Max was born in Copenhagen, Ontario on February 11, 1919, the son of the late Gordon and Leola (KELLY) ROZELL. He was a retired employee of the City of Saint Thomas. Max was a was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. He served 2 years in the army during World War 2. Sparks lit way for many
Mourners share stories of two Lambton teens killed in a car crash.

Sarnia -- Vanessa CRAWFORD and Brianne DESCHAMPS were remembered yesterday by grieving family members, Friends and hundreds from the community as two sparks extinguished far too soon.
Mourners crammed into St. Luke's United Church for CRAWFORD's funeral, while many of the same people packed the Smith Funeral Home later in the afternoon to attend the funeral for DESCHAMPS.
The 19-year-old girls, who grew up together in Lambton County, died Wednesday in a crash in Ottawa that also killed Mark MacDONALD of Arnprior.
All three attended Carleton University. Mourners from across the province made the trip for both funerals.
"Today we think of Vanessa, Brianne and Mark," said Rev. Stephen SAVEL, who presided over the funeral for DESCHAMPS. " Their lives had hardly begun and then were so quickly and tragically ended."
At St. Luke's church, mourners overflowed into the basement, while others stood along the wall in the church sanctuary to hear Rev. Connie ELLIS.
"In the short time that Vanessa was with us, she learned all of the important lessons about life and love and what really mattered," ELLIS said.
CRAWFORD's family gathered before the service, crying and hugging one another.
Her father, Lee, held a pair of crimson dance slippers in one hand and his wife Annette's hand in the other as the couple made their way into the church.
Friend after friend rose to tell stories of CRAWFORD's adventures.
She was remembered as an accomplished dancer, daring skydiver and good friend.
"We shared everything, clothes and secrets," said her friend Laura TAILOR/TAYLOR. " You shared your dad's sense of adventure and your mom's love of life."
A light snow fell as pall bearers carried CRAWFORD's casket past an honour guard of dozens of dancers from the Shirley Schram School of Dance. Many wept and held each other for support as they placed single red roses on the casket.
At DESCHAMPS' funeral, mourners packed a hallway and the funeral home's main foyer to hear the service. She was remembered as "an old soul" who lived life "in double time."
Her younger sister Brooke told mourners when the two were younger, Brianne would share her bed when Brooke awoke from a nightmare.
"She would hug me tight and tell me everything was going to be all right," she said. "She was my role model, my hero and my best friend."
DESCHAMPS' father Steve shared an e-mail she had sent him shortly before the crash. She jokingly referred to herself as "Bri-Diddy" and promised to pay her parents back if they lent her money to buy shoes for a ball at Carleton.
"Bri, we miss you so damn much," he said, his voice cracking. "We will hold you in our hearts forever."

Went to join his Maker on May 22, 2008. Bill was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on the 8th of August, 1915. He was educated at Norberry School and Glenlawn Collegiate in St. Vidal, Manitoba and Success Business College in Winnipeg.
At the height of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served at various stations as an Administrative Officer. On posting overseas he was assigned to the Intelligence Branch until he retired as a Flight Lieutenant in December, 1945. On return to "Civy Street" he was employed federally as an auditor for 28 years and then provincially for four years.
Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Jean in August 1997, after 55 years of close togetherness. Those left to celebrate his life include daughter Marion and husband Bill McCOMB; daughter Beverley and husband David TKACHUK, grandchildren: Andrea, Jeffrey and Rebecca. Also, son William J. JEFFREY Junior and his wife Mary (née BIALEK.) Also, a brother Herbert and his wife Gay (nee MORRISON) and niece Jacqueline and nephew Gordon. Also numerous Friends from all walks of life in business and pleasure and with whom life became a wonderful adventure.
In living memory of William JEFFREY a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park adjacent to the tree already there in memory of Jean.
Graveside service will be held at the Military Section of Rocky View Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta, and interment will be held in the plot next to Jean's on Tuesday, 27 May, 2008 at 2 p.m.

He enjoyed a long affiliation with Freemasonry and was made a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in 1973 and a member of the Royal Order of Scotland in 1985. In 2006 Ross received his 60 year Masonic pin and his Lewis Jewel in 2007. Ross was the purchasing agent for the former London Board of Education, a long time member of Sunningdale Golf Club and a cottage resident at Bruce Beach. Passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 25th at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital▲ in her 61st year. Barbara, beloved partner of Ed LEAKEY and cherished mother of Heather and Louise, will be always be remembered by her precious granddaughters Brittany and Keziah, sons-in-law Peter HILSON and Harry BURGLER, as well as many Friends she considered to be family including Evelyn and Linda PARKER, Wendy FARNESS and Barb LEAKEY to name just a few. Surviving siblings include Betty, Reginald, Ross and Gloria, as well as siblings of her late husband James COX including Ron (Eve,) Irene (Norm) HENDRY, Ann▲ (Bob▲) RAWN, Bill (Karen) and the late Barb (Earle) OSBURN. She▲ was also predeceased by sisters Marg (Doug) JEFFRIES, Frieda, Doreen and brothers Albert and Bob. Throughout her life Barb showed incredible determination in overcoming adversity and always appreciated having her days brightened by family, Friends, former neighbours, Bendix co-workers and Laundry Factory customers. She choose to be grateful for what came her way rather than to complain about what didn't and, while receiving excellent care from Doctor QUIGG, Community Care Access Centre, hospice workers and nursing staff on the second floor of the G&M Hospital during her final months, was able to eloquently remind us all about what is truly important in life. May her spirit live on to help make the world a better place. Visitation will be held Friday, March 28th from 7-9 p.m. with funeral to follow on Saturday March 29th at 1 p.m. all at Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street. Beloved mother of Bruce McKAY, Victoria HOWLETT and Ian McKAY. Loved and loved by her son-in-law Robert HOWLETT and daughter-in-law Pam BAILE. Loving grandmother of Justin and Brittany HOWLETT and Simon BAMBIC- McKAY. A beautiful soul born in Bremen, Germany, she came to Canada at the age of 30 to what she claimed was a glorious country. Though she moved many times in Canada and lived many more years back in Europe, she loved Canada best of all. We were blessed to have had such a loving and caring mother who taught us to see the good in everyone, to love and care for the world we live in and to celebrate life, especially the small things. A huge thank you for the love and support of Doctor Karen LO who made me able to care for Mum at home where she passed peacefully. Many thanks to the Victorian Order of Nurses and Community Care Access Centre, especially nurses Trudie and Lenore and Personal Support Worker's Jasminka, Lynn and Ernestine for all the wonderful help. A large hug to Doctor D. VUJOVIC, Fiona and the Cancer Clinic. Special thank yous to Janet TAILOR/TAYLOR- JEFFS, Peggy and Bill RIVARD, Norah and John BENNETTO for all their loving care of Mum, me and my family through gifts of time, food, flowers and fresh farm eggs.
