BARRETT, Barbara Jeffres (née GIBBONS)
Peacefully at University Hospital, London, with her daughters at her side, Barbara Jeffres BARRETT (née GIBBONS) of London and formerly of British Columbia in her 85th year, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10th, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth BARRETT and predeceased by her brother Ronald GIBBONS. Loving mother of Deborah KUHAR (David) of Dorchester and Catherine LITWIN (John) of London. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher, Jordan, Kristyn and Slawek. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Barbara's life on Tuesday, March 18th from 5-9 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell), London, A private family interment will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory are asked to consider the Dorchester Community Church and the Family Medicine/Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital. Thank you to all the outstanding staff working on the FM / Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital. We are deeply grateful for the exemplary care given to our mom by all the nurses, PSA's, coordinator Wendy, social worker Erin, APN Lynne, Doctor L. SCHMIDT, Doctor E. WONG, Doctor B. EVANS, the residents Robin, Graham and Andre, and to Doctor NAUDIE and Doctor HOWARD for taking the time to get to know Mom. KINGWELL, Orval Gordon
In loving memory of Orval Gordon KINGWELL, 70 years, who passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday January 31st, 2008, with his family by his side. Orval will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Marjorie (KUHL) of Wahnapitae. Loving father of Carolyn CARROLL (Reg) and Kathryn GOSSELIN (Dwight LYNDS.) Cherished grandfather of Lacey CARROLL and Travis GOSSELIN (father Richard GOSSELIN.) Dear son of the late Gordon and Ethel (née ELDER) KINGWELL. Dear brother of Lawrence (Sharon,) Kenneth (Linda) and brother-in-law to Doreen (Ken WHITE/WHYTE,) Allan KUHL (Donna), Pat (Don BURK/BURKE), Joyce (Doug KEELING), and predeceased by Orval KUHL (Gail predeceased.) Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, relatives and Friends. Orval has touched the lives of many people. He retired from the Iron Workers Union local 786 on January 1st, 2000. He served on the executive committee of the Wahnapitae Community Centre and dedicated many years of his life to coaching baseball (Molson Men) and hockey. His “Heaven on Earth” was his camp on Thor Lake. Funeral service in the R.J. MISKE, Larry David
Passed away suddenly on Monday, February 11th, 2008 at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound in his 63rd year. Larry was the beloved husband of the former Linda RANSCOMBE. Loving father of Lee and Lincoln. He will be sadly missed by his brother John and by his sister Marion KUHL. A service to celebrate Larry's life will take place at a later date. Passed away at the Country Lane Long Term Care Home in Chatsworth on Saturday, April 5, 2008 in her 83rd year. The former Fran CLARK went home to be with her long time partner and love of her life: Alvin G. KUHL (2000.) She will always be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Robert and Linda, Ron and Gwen, Garry and Kay and Bill CHRISTIE. Dear sister of Robert, Murice, Murray, Helen, Clarence CLARK, Ruth PARKER and Marie KING. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her 12 grandchildren: Paula, Travis, Ronda, Allan, Greg, Jennifer, Scott, Sherrie, Leanne, Tammy, Derek and Rob as well by her 26 great-grandchildren. Of Chesley, passed away at Elgin Abbey, Chesley on Thursday, April 10, 2008 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Ivor C. PHILLIPS. Dear mother of Dale and her husband Russ WILCOX of Waterloo, Bruce of Coldwater and Brian of Chesley. Loving grandmother of Tanya, Sean, Amanda, Brinley, Evan, Carissa (Shawn) and Victoria. Dear sister of Beatrice HATTEN, Lorraine (Lionel) NESBITT, Harold (Violet) KARN, Alvin (Betty) KARN, Dean (Betty) KARN and Larry (Ruth) KARN as well as sister-in-law of Bernice and Betty. Peacefully and gracefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer, at the Grey Bruce Health Services on Sunday morning, April 20th, 2008. Elizabeth Irma DICKSON/DIXON (née McEWEN,) of Francis Lake, in her 68th year. Dearly beloved wife of Bev DICKSON/DIXON. Loving mother of Tanya CAYLEY and her husband, Rod, Tracey KUHL and her husband Brent, both of R.R.#2, Tara, Tara OKE and her husband, Ted, of Exeter and Michael McCARTNEY. Proud grandmother of seven grandchildren. Toronto boy dies after lacrosse accident

Toronto -- A 15-year-old Toronto boy has died after an apparent accident during a weekend lacrosse game.
Jamieson KUHLMAN and his Toronto Beaches midget field lacrosse team were playing qualifying matches for the provincial championship in Newmarket, Ontario
CTV News said the incident, during a game Monday, left the teen on life support.
John STEEL, an official with the Toronto Beaches Lacrosse Club said everyone was devastated. The incident is being reviewed by the Ontario Lacrosse Association, he said.

RICHARDS, Elizabeth "Betty" Emma (née ANDREWS)
(December 3, 1910-March 15, 2008)
After several weeks at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her loving and greatly-loved husband, Robert Whitla RICHARDS, on May 19, 1989. Daughter of Arthur Thornton ANDREWS and Emma HARRIS; adopted by her uncle Fletcher ANDREWS and his wife Anne. Predeceased by her brothers, Alfred, Gerald and William and her sisters, Leila (Rennie and Logan), Nora (Sloane), and Mary (Bonnycastle). Lovingly remembered by her sisters, Gertrude (Moar) and Emily (Moar); her children, Nora Francis, Robert (wife Penny,) Gordon (wife Bonnie) and Samuel RICHARDS: by her grandchildren, Mark and Susanna (husband Walter KUHN) Francis; Jayne and Kate (husband Chad COLE) RICHARDS; Signe (husband Kent PERCEVAULT) and Benjamin RICHARDS; Cecilia, Madeline and Cedric RICHARDS and by her great-grandchildren Emma Ling FRANCIS- KUHN and Madison, Caylie and Kai PERCEVAULT. Betty graduated with a B.A. from the University of Manitoba in 1931, where she had joined the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She was an artist and a life-long supporter of the Winnipeg Art Gallery, whose Volunteer Committee made her an honorary life member in 2001. She was one of the founders of the Forum Art Institute. She was an active member of the Winnipeg Junior League and the Women's Musical Club, which made her an honorary life member in 2005. At time of her death, she maintained her memberships at the Manitoba Club and the St. Charles Country Club. Thank you to Mom's bridge companions, who kept her looking forward until the very end. Special thanks to James Appleyard and Ursula Grubert. Thanks also to Lynne Fineman and her caregivers, including Aida, Debbie, Gertrude, Helene, Kerry and Maija, for their attentive care in our Mother's last months. Betty derived comfort from her Christian faith and her attendance at the Parish Church of St. George, Crescentwood, where a memorial service will be held on Thursday, the 20th of March, 2008, at 11: 00 a.m. The church is located at 168 Wilton at Grosvenor, Winnipeg R3M 3C3. While mother loved flowers, please make donations in lieu to the Church or the Winnipeg Art Gallery, 300 Memorial Boulevard, R3C 1V1, or to a charity of your choice.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the age of 82, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband for 63 years of the late Dorothy MITCHELL, deceased: November 23 2007. A loving and devoted father to William and his wife Mercedes of Milton, Patricia and her husband John KUHR of Cambridge, Debra and her husband Bruce PHILLIPS of Pickering, and his daughter-in-law, Judy MITCHELL- WILSON of Beaverton. Much loved grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of five. Bill was predeceased by his son, Terence in 1984, his grand_son, Simon MITCHELL in 1992 and his brothers Lloyd, Clayton, Carl, Johnny, Leslie and his sister Enid WAKERELL. Bill was happiest when surrounded by his family. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 1: 30 p.m. in the chapel with visitation one hour prior.
