December 27, 2007, after a brief illness. She is survived by
her partner, Brian
LOCK, her 3 children, Roger and Amanda of
Kelowna, and Jeffery of Vancouver, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
- the last surviving child of the Jeffery and Clara
LYDIATT family.
Writer, Broadcaster, Municipal Councilor, Shop-keeper and consummate
hostess, she loved and was fully engaged in life wherever possible.
Her enthusiasm, sense of humour and energy were maintained to
her last days. Her sense of decorum, leadership and maintenance
of standards were a model for us all. She will be missed by those
who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Gracie's life will be held in Vancouver in early
