NADAL, Renee
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, January 18, 2008 at her home. Renee NADAL, beloved wife of the late Irwin NADAL. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sheldon and Chaia, and Miles and Kelly. Dear sister of Betty NAFTOLIN, Irv and the late Ruth WALLEN, and the late Jack SILVERMAN. Devoted grandmother of Sarah, Samantha, Aaron, and Jacob. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Gina and Monica and to the Medical Staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital for their wonderful care. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue W., (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Sunday, January 20th at 11: 30 a.m. Interment, Beth Tzedec Memorial Park. Shiva 16 Clyde Avenue, with visits daily from 1: 30 p.m. Evening services Sunday through Wednesday at 7: 00 p.m. Shiva will conclude on Wednesday evening, January 23rd. Suddenly at Woodstock General Hospital on Monday, May 26, 2008, Margaret Elizabeth BIGHAM (formerly McLEAN, née LOVE,) of Woodstock in her 73rd year. Dear daughter of Jean LOVE of Woodstock and the late Norm LOVE (1981.) Wife of the late Richard BIGHAM (1994.) Loved mother of Deb BUCHANAN (Rick BARNES), Sue NADER (Byron), Wendy GRABOWSKI (Stan,) all of Woodstock, Bob McLEAN of London, Sandi MacDONALD (Steve) of Embro, and Valerie McKIM (Ken) of Brantford, and step-mother of Rick BIGHAM of London. Loving grandmother of Greg BUCHANAN (Michelle), Brent and Jeff NADER, Paul GRABOWSKI, Jen WELSH (Luke), Ryan MacDONALD (Carolyn), Stevie MacDONALD (Bill), David HILL (Amy), Jessica HILL, and the late Joe MacDONALD (1998,) and step-grandmother of Joanne, Mike, and Cory BIGHAM. Also lovingly remembered by her six great-grandchildren. Sister of Donna HILDERLEY (Bruce) of Port Franks, and Jack LOVE (Karen) of Ingersoll. Also survived by her nieces and nephews. Margaret was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 55, Woodstock. Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion service will be held on Wednesday evening at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home under the auspices of the Ladies Auxiliary of Branch 55, Woodstock. Funeral Service at Old Saint Paul's Anglican Church, 723 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce GENGE officiating. Interment at The Anglican Cemetery. GOODERHAM, Peter Strong
(March 23rd, 1926-February 4th, 2008)
On Monday, February 4th, 2008 in his 82nd year, Peter Strong GOODERHAM passed away peacefully at the Toronto General Hospital. Peter was the younger son of the late Henry Stephen GOODERHAM and the late Dorothy Frances MULKERN, beloved husband of 42 years to the late Jane Graeme HAY and the devoted father of Sarah Graeme NADHERNY (Douglas), Peter Hay GOODERHAM (Michele) and Margaret Frances GOODERHAM and much loved grandfather to Charles NADHERNY, Jane NADHERNY, Victoria GOODERHAM and Georgina GOODERHAM. He was predeceased by his brother, H. Stephen GOODERHAM. Peter was a man of great charm, integrity and acumen. He was born in Toronto and attended the prep at Upper Canada College and then Ridley College, a school for which he had great fondness and life-long attachment. Upon graduation, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1945. Thereafter, he began his long and successful business career at Wills, Bickle in 1948. He was a Governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange and a long time director and Chairman of The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company from 1956 to 2001. He was an elder and strong supporter of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. He was a long serving Governor of Ridley College serving in many capacities but most importantly, as the proud representative for his Class of '44. Throughout his life, he was devoted to his family, his dear Jane and to Georgian Bay. Having learned to sail at the Junior Club at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Peter loved boats and owned many of them, spending his best times on the special sailing trips around the Bay aboard Vivia IV. He was a member of the Toronto Club, the York Club, the Badminton and Racquet Club, where he had many Friends and spent many happy times. He will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren and extended family and by his many Friends (especially in the Billiard Room). A special thanks to Trixyl Buenafe and Rechie Sabandal for their devotion to his comfort, safety and care. Funeral service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 73 Simcoe Street (at the corner of King Street W. and Simcoe Street), Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, February 7th, 2008 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ridley College, P.O. Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, Joseph Edward DOUCETTE, at the age of 83 years, surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jeanne, his four children, Pierrette AGEN, Michelle JACKSON (Bradley) of Panama City Beach, Florida; Richard of San Diego, California and the late Suzanne WHITE/WHYTE (James;) and one grand_son Anthony MacFARLANE and his life partner Martin McGRENERE. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gerry of Rochester, Alberta; Tommy (Patsy); Rodolphe (Madeleine); and Hubert, all of Toronto; Delima NADON (late Albert) of Alban, Ontario; and Elizabeth "Betty" SEGUIN (late Arthur) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Roseanna HAMEL (late George GAUTHIER and the late Eddie HAMEL;) Leone THIBAULT (Rene) of Cobourg, Ontario; Euclide, Fabiola; Georges (late Marie); Andre and Marie. Joseph was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking and woodworking. He was a highly skilled tradesperson, having worked on numerous Toronto landmarks. He was always proud of and steadfastly dedicated to his family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Parkwood Hospital-Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care and support. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, with prayers at 7 p.m. and a legion service at 7: 30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Peter's Basilica (Lady Chapel), 196 Dufferin Ave, London on Friday, February 29, 2008, at 10: 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkwood Hospital - Palliative Care Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
