Of Mar peacefully at Wiarton Hospital on Thursday February 14th, 2008. Edward Eric WHITE/WHYTE at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of Shirley (née ROBINSON) and the late Florence (née HILL.) Beloved father of Bob (Ruth), of Dowling; Stephen (Britt), of Mar; Neil (Joan,) of Cargill; Ruth Ann KUNTZ (and friend Mervin,) of Drayton Allan (Debbie), of Kemble; Kate WHITE/WHYTE (Jim DOBBIE), of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; Nancy WHITE/WHYTE (Stewart NUTT,) of Southampton; and Susan WHITE/WHYTE (Kelly WILSON,) of Calgary, Alberta. Special step-father of Carolyn (Tom DALMUS,) of Anglewood; Gerald LOURIE (Julie,) of Collingwood; Richard LOURIE (Loretta,) of Sauble Beach; Stephen LOURIE (Josephine,) of Chatham; and Linda (Evan MacKINNON,) of Guelph. Cherished grandpa of 32 and great-grandfather of 14. Forever missed by his sister Edith STEPHENS, of Wiarton. Ed is predeceased by his parents Henry and Josephine; brothers Mac, Ollie, and Arthur; sisters Emily and Connie. Ed loved his community, serving it through his tireless involvement with the Co-op Board, Hospital Board, School Board, and the Agricultural Society. He farmed at Mar for 34 years; owned and operated the Mar ESSO for 6 years; and managed the Tamarac Club. Family invite Friends to join with them for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041, on Saturday February 16, 2008 from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Ed's full life will be conducted from the chapel on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. At Bluewater Health - C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia, on Friday, April 11, 2008, Marvin James (Jim) WHITSON, age 87, of Sarnia, beloved husband of Marjorie Pearl (NUTTALL) WHITSON. Dear father of Jim WHITSON Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Sarnia and Mary PHILLIPS in Australia. Loving grandfather of Corey WHITSON and his wife Janice and Andrea KOZIOL and her husband Adas of Sarnia and Timothy PHILLIPS and his wife Melanie in Australia. Great-grandfather of Paul and Julie WHITSON, Anna and Anderson KOZIOL. Brother-in-law of Margaret NUTTALL of Lindsay, and Ina WHITSON of Windsor. Also survived by several much loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by 5 brothers Jake, Ray, Roy, Clifford and Leo WHITSON, a sister-in-law Barbara WHITSON and a brother-in-law Pat NUTTALL. Born in Dresden, Mr WHITSON had resided in the Sarnia area for over 50 years. He was retired as an Industrial Arts Teacher with the Lambton County Board of Education. He was a member of Liberty Lodge #419, Chatham Lodge of Perfection., Order of the Eastern Star, Sarnia Chapter #6, and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #113, Dresden. Visitation will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home (102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia) on Monday, April 21st in the afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, (429 Indian Road, North, at Hickory, Sarnia) on Tuesday, April 22nd at 1: 00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Roger ELLIS officiating. Cremation to follow. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General Marine Hospital May 10, 2008. Predeceased by her husbands, Donald J. CABOT and George NUTTALL, her daughter Kathleen GAUDREAULT (née CABOT,) and her son-in-law Errol (Yogi) GAUDREAULT. Grandmother of Charmaine BEELEN (Marty), Carl GAUDREAULT (Michelle), Carole JOHNSTON (Cliff) and Cindy VAN SEVERN (Jeremy.) Great-grandmother of Spencer, Sid, Deyon, Zack, Gavin, Jared, Anjoli and Celena. Visitation was held May 13, 2008 1: 00 p.m. Funeral was held May 13, 2008, 2: 00 p.m. Interment followed.
