"ORF" 2008 Obituary

Leslie Ivan ORFORD
Les passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Mindemoya Hospital in
his 74th year. He was the son of Ed and Viola ORFORD (both predeceased.)
He was born in Poplar on April 23, 1943 and lived most of his life in
Long Bay. He was a hard worker, farmed, did construction work, and worked
in the bush. He was a good mechanic, enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and
trapping. He adored his grandchildren, four of whom he would stop his own
work to help them with things. He was their Hero. He loved euchre,
watching his grandchildren play hockey and going to the coffee shop.
Dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife of 52 years. Darlene
(Runnalls), sons Jimmy (predeceased 1986), Kenny (Kim), Billy (Jennifer),
Ronnie (Lisa), Larry (Sandy), several grandchildren and great
grandchildren, brother Clifford, sisters Edna and Reona. Predeceased by
brothers Lloyd, Delbert and Austin. Friends may call at Culgin Funeral
Home from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday. The funeral service will be
conducted on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11 am in the Wm. G. Turner
Chapel. Spring interment in the Burpee-Mills Cemetery. If so desired,
donations may be made to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary.
