he retired. He enjoyed many activities with his family such as gardening and
being outdoors. He loved playing cards and board games, playing the guitar and
singing. He had a great sense of humour and loved teasing his nieces, nephews
and cousins as well as spending time with his dogs.
Resting at Saint Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Mission,
Wikwemikong, Ontario Monday June 23rd, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Wikwemikong
Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury. Friends

attended Dutton High School. She graduated from Westervelt Business
College, London. In 1957 she went to Ottawa where she was employed
at Atomic Energy of Canada as executive assistant to the Chief
Executive Officer until retirement. Joan was an avid gardener,
animal lover and wildlife enthusiast. She was a member of Beta
Sigma Phi Sorority, and active in performing arts. The memorial
service will be held from Wallacetown United Church, Wallacetown
Ontario. on Friday February 29, 2008 at 12 Noon. Reception to

place. Private family interment in the Lindenman family plot

2008. Gerry was born in 1915 in Dixie, Ontario. Predeceased by

waters of Lake Joseph, her heart and mind reached ever outward
in curiosity, interest and love, making connections that she
always remembered. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, January 24th
at 11 a.m. at St. Anselm Church, 1 MacNaughton Road, Toronto,
M4G 3H3. Gerry will rest at Mount Peace Cemetery, Dixie, which
was founded by her father, Donel
O'BRIEN.
Gerry's life was enhanced
and her spirit was lifted through the attentive care provided
by her nephew Doctor Paul
O'BRIEN.

Quietly on Thursday, March 13, 2008 in his 61st year and his
43rd year as a Jesuit. Since becoming ill in late December 2005,
Fr. PHELAN never regained consciousness and for the last number
of years has been lovingly cared for at Providence Centre. For
many years prior to his illness, Fr.
PHELAN was a gifted spiritual
director of the Jesuit staff at Loyola House in Guelph and at
the Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre in Pickering. Most
recently, he was a member of the Apostolic Team at Our Lady of
Lourdes Parish as a spiritual guide and counselor. He is survived
by his brothers Frank, Jim, Hugh, Martin, Andy and by his sisters
Theresa and Mary Jo. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and
Mary, and his sister Ann. His life was a grace and blessing to
all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by his many nephews
and nieces, his Jesuit brothers, many Friends and by all who
knew him in the faith community of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
Friends may call at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel,
467 Sherbourne Street (south of Wellesley) from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday,
March 16th. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday,
March 17, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 520 Sherbourne

Born in Toronto, Sam was a University
of Toronto graduate in Chemical Engineering (1941). His 45 year
career with Alcan began in Arvida, Québec, and took him around
the world. His life was his family, Friends and Alcan, and included
many happy years in Mandeville, Jamaica, followed by Montreal.
On retirement, he returned to Toronto. Funeral Service will be
held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2 o'clock. Visitation from
1-2 o'clock at St. Philip's Anglican Church, 31 St. Phillips
Rd., Etobicoke. Interment at St. Philip's Churchyard. Condolences
