HEASMAN, John Douglas
Passed away at his residence in Meaford on Thursday, July 17, 2008 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Isabelle HEASMAN. Dear father of Robert and his wife Donna, and Dennis and his wife Darlene, step-father of Darlene NEWELL, Linda and Burt BUCKTON, John and Lillie BATES, Jim and Alma BATES, Isabelle KING and Scott FISHER, Keith BATES, Karen and Cliff MOLE and Brenda JOHNSTON. Dear brother of Albert (Marion) HEASMAN, and Madeline (George) PTOLEMY. Sadly missed by three grandchildren; Deborah, Tammy and Jennifer, and four great-grandchildren; Ryan, Ashlyn, Tyler and Katlyn. Also sadly missed by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford, where the funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon July 21 at 1 p.m. followed by cremation. Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Strathaven Baptist Church Building Fund.

Retired teacher, Scarborough Board of Education. Past member of Washington United Church, Scarborough. Current member George St. United Church, Peterborough
Peacefully, with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in her 84th year. Midge, beloved wife of Douglas for 60 years. Dear mother of Donald (Monica,) Alex and Kathy WATT (Ian.) Loving Grandma of Virginia, Blake, Owen and Graeme. Dear sister of Helen STALPORT of Oakville and Joyce MOORE of Brantford. Midge will also be missed by many Friends and family in Toronto, Peterborough, Clear Lake and across Canada. A funeral service will be held at George St. United Church, 534 George St. North, Peterborough on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 1: 30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior, Reverend Karen PTOLEMY- STAM officiating. In memory of Midge, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.
