QUIGG, Community Care Access Centre, hospice workers
and nursing staff on the second floor of the G&M Hospital during
her final months, was able to eloquently remind us all about
what is truly important in life. May her spirit live on to help
make the world a better place. Visitation will be held Friday,
March 28th from 7-9 p.m. with funeral to follow on Saturday March 29th
at 1 p.m. all at Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine

Anna died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Oakville on
the 17th day of October, 2007. She was born on May 31, 1916 in
Port Arthur, in the Thunder Bay District. She was the second
of six children of John
YVASIENKO, who was a section foreman
on the Sioux Lookout to Thunder Bay C.N. line. She went to Toronto
for her education when still very young. There she met and married
Donald Walter
ROLLING, her loving husband of 30 years, in 1941.
Her husband served in the Armed Forces and was discharged in
1946 as a Major and therafter had a career as a Plant Manager
at General Electric. Anna spent many years as an Administrative
Assistant at Speedy Glass. They both lived in North York until
Anna moved to Oakville recently. She was predeacesed by her brother,
John, and her sisters, Bella and Sophie; survived by her brother,
Joseph, of Abbotsford, British Columbia and her sister, Audrey

It is with deep sadness that Ian's family announces his passing
after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife Ann,
beloved daughter Debbie (David)

HADRILL of Montreal. Ian also had many nieces, nephews
and cousins who were an important part of his life.
Ian was born in Montreal to Jean
(FLECK) and Mr. Justice Gregor
BARCLAY and was educated at Selwyn House, Montreal and Ashbury
College, Ottawa. In 1939 he started McGill and in 1941 he joined
the Royal Canadian Navy. He was loaned to the Royal Navy as a
combined Ops Commando and served in the North African and Sicily
campaigns, as well as the Normandy invasion on D-Day.
After the war Ian returned to McGill where he completed his law
degree and then obtained his MPA at Harvard.
After a year of practising law in Montreal Ian, Ann and Debbie
came to Vancouver where he started a long career in the forest
industry with Columbia Cellulose. In 1964 he joined British Columbia
Forest Products where he stayed until retiring in 1984 as their
Chief Executive Officer. Ian served on the Economic Council of
Canada as well as Many boards including the United Way, Hudson's
Bay Co., the Royal Bank of Canada and Northern Telecom.
After his family and business his other great passion was sports.
One of his proudest achievements was being a member of the navy
team that won the Grey Cup in 1944. His interest in football
continued as he became president of the British Columbia Lions
and the Western Football Conference.
Ian was a gentle, softly spoken man and was a mentor to many
young people in their formative years.
Our family would like to thank Doctor Brad Fritz and the medical
teams at V.G.H.'S Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit
for their extraordinary care.
A celebration of Ian's life will take place at Saint Mary's Kerrisdale,
37th and Larch, at 2: 00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Rev. Kevin
Dixon officiating.

and she proudly served in the Canadian Army Medical Corp in Europe
from 1943-1946. Upon returning to Canada she earned her diploma
in Public Health from the University of Toronto and worked in
Public Health in Sarnia with the Lambton County Health Unit and
the Rotary Children's Centre while raising her family. Betty
was a devoted and active member of Laurel-Lea St. Matthew's Church,
whose congregational support and encouragement were a source
of much comfort. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral
Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway. Corunna on Thursday, May 8th, 2008
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will then be held at Laurel-Lea
St. Matthew's Church, (Corner of Exmouth and Melrose), Sarnia
on Friday at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and interment

MOLEMA. Daphne shared
her love of beauty, art and education with her family, colleagues
and students of art and architecture. Executive Director of the
Ryerson and Burnham Libraries at the Art Institute of Chicago,
1975-1985. A gifted administrator and fundraiser, Daphne worked
tenaciously to develop the art libraries of the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Clark Art Institute,
and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. Daphne will be dearly
missed. With deep gratitude for the exemplary care of the nursing
staff at the Grace Manor. A private family service will be held.
In memory of Daphne, donations may be made to the Library of
Trinity College, University of Toronto.

A kind, gentle and elegant lady, teacher to many and a caring
friend to all ages, passed away at Beechwood Court, Mississauga
in her 94th year, after a long illness. Youngest daughter of
the late John and Pearl
McMULLEN of Petrolia. Predeceased by
Douglas, her loving husband of 66 years, her beloved son Frederick
and dear sister and brother-in-law, Orris and Melvin

Iva was a graduate of Western University (English and French)
Class of 1934 and was employed as a teacher in Petrolia, Montreal,
Sarnia and Mississauga. Her love of teaching English, French
and Latin was the basis for a life long love of reading and her
favorite novel was Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Iva had
many interests including knitting, sewing, bridge, music, theatre
and travel and was famous for baking bran muffins. She was a
longstanding member of her church, Imperial Order of the Daughters
of the Empire and the Retired Teachers Association of Ontario.
She brought her family together on many happy occasions and her
legacy of love, courage and strength is an inspiration to all
who were privileged to know her. Her "larger than life hugs"
will be sorely missed. Iva's family wish to thank all the wonderful
caregivers, both in her home (Seniors for Seniors) and Beechwood
Court (Excel Care) who provided support and love during this
difficult stage of life. In addition, appreciation is extended
to her former neighbours as well as members of Saint Peter's Church
who shared their love. Special thanks to Michael Lavelle and
Chris Hyatt for their unwavering Friendship and loyalty through
many years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 26,
2008 at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter's Erindale Anglican Church, 1745 Dundas
Street, W. Mississauga with visiting beginning ½ hour prior. Private
interment at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations in Iva's memory may be made Saint Peter's Church
