In Loving Memory of Susan Prior, January 29, 1919 - March 30, 2008. Sue
Prior, a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Manitoulin Lodge on Sunday,
March 30, 2008 at the age of 89 years. She was born at Ice Lake, daughter
of the late Andrew and Charlotte (Baker) Robertson. Sue had lived all her
life in the Gore Bay area, just recently moving to Manitoulin Lodge. She
enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading and playing cards. She also took
pleasure in "scrapbooking", collecting numerous articles from many
sources, and was also a "collector" of almost anything. Sue also enjoyed
visiting with people. She took great pride in her flowers and garden. Sue
was predeceased by her husband Ronald in September of 2000. Loving and
loved mother of Cora Rumley, friend Joe of Sault Sainte Marie, Bob and his
wife Joan of Gore Bay, Bev and her husband Bert Woestenenk of Evansville,
Andy and his wife Sharon of Espanola and Steve, friend Cathy of Barrie
Island. Predeceased by son Roger in 1946. Proud grandmother of 11
grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Andrew,
Achsa, Mary, Charlie, Agnes, John and Martha. Also survived by many
nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 pm
on Tuesday. The funeral service will be conducted in the Wm. G. Turner
Chapel on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11.00 a.m. with Pastor Joel Lock
officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to
Manitoulin Lodge, the Gore Bay Medical Centre or the charity of your

SUSIN and 17 great-grandchildren. Aileen will always be remembered
for her loving and generous nature. She considered herself blessed
to have had two long and happy marriages and took great pleasure
in the many members of her extended family. Visitation will be
at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East on Wednesday,
July 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place
in the Ogden Chapel on Thursday, July 11th at 10: 30 a.m. with
services being conducted by Aileen's former minister at Knob
Hill United, Reverend Andy
McKEE. Cremation. Donations made to
the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated
by the family.
