LOOMIS, Mamie Elizabeth (née PECO)
Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Nelson LOOMIS (April 5, 1984) and dearly loved mother of Catherine and her husband Andy BEAUDRY of Saint Thomas, Jean and her husband James BROWN of Guelph, John and his wife Diana LOOMIS of St. Catharines and James and his wife Vicki LOOMIS of St. Catharines. She was the last of her family. Predeceased by three sisters Sister Catherine PECO, O.L.M., Mary IRWIN and Josephine PECO and by 4 brothers Dan, Henry, Caesar and John PECO. Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mamie was born in Saint Thomas on March 11, 1914, the daughter of the late Felice and Mary SYLVESTER) PECO. She was a life member of Holy Angels' Church and a 68 year member of the Catholic Women's League. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. Saint Thomas until Friday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 7: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Holy Angels' Church Restoration Fund, Our Lady's Missionary or the charity of choice.

PEEL, Ida Mona (née DAVIS)
76 years, peacefully, on March 8, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. Loving mother of Sharon and Dennis SYLVESTRE; Deborah PEEL and Drew ALLMAN; Rebecca and Robert McCLELLAN; Grant and Heather PEEL. Daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie DAVIS (nee HORROCKS.) Dear 'Gram' of Stephanie and Kent STRACHAN, Bridget and Scott HAUSER, Chastity and John Mark JURAK, Denise SYLVESTRE and Kerry MORRISON; Harmony LAKE; Scott PEEL, Christopher PEEL. Great-grandmother to Nathan, Ella, and Matthew. Dear sister to Lillian and the late Herb Ernest and the late Rocky, Walter, Lorne, and Richard. Special sister-in-law to Helen DAVIS and Loretta DAVIS and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Gertie, Jackie, Nancy, Tom, Carrie, Theresa, Angie and all the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh. Visiting Tuesday, from 2: 00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11: 30 a.m. Reverend Kevin GEORGE officiating. A cremation will follow with an interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, a donation to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ida in the Marcotte Heritage Forest.
