ones at the Montfort Hospital after a brief and rapid decline
in health. John was predeceased by his wife, Elspeth

Natasha, Daniel, Joseph and Elizabeth as well as his Rolston
and Herbert nieces and nephews. John grew up in Vancouver, served
in the Canadian Army during World War 2. He worked at Woods Gordon,
Ontario Hydro, British Columbia Electric, Chairman of the Public
Service Commission, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Ottawa
U. John was a keen cottager on the Sunshine Coast, Muskoka and
Heney Lake Quebec. He was an Officer of the Order of Canada and
received honourary degrees. Friends are invited to visit at the
Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street
on Thursday, June 19th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service
will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11: 30 a.m. Reception
to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. Thanks to Lorne
Parent of the Sandy Hill Community Health Care and staff of Montfort.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the University
of Ottawa or the Parkinson Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

75, of Tavistock passed away in the Stratford General Hospital
on Thursday, March 6, 2008. She was born in Mosa Township, Middlesex
County on March 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Isaac Roy
SAYLOR
and the former Elva Mae
TUNKS.
Doris was a member of Bethel Pentecostal
Church in Stratford; was a Past President of Women's Aglow and
had been a long time volunteer at the House of Blessing and L'Arche
in Stratford. She married Donald Percy
DOAN at Bothwell on July 1,
1950. He predeceased her on September 22, 2000. She was also
predeceased by her son, Paul
DOAN.
Doris is survived by two sons,
