VAN PUYMBROECK, Ed
At University Hospital, on Monday, June 9th, 2008, Ed VAN PUYMBROECK at the age of 68. Beloved husband and true friend of Lorraine. Loving father and step-father of Wendy of Kimberly, British Columbia Ed Jr. and his wife Margaret of London; Jeff and his wife Carrie of Newfoundland; Lisa O'BRIEN and her fiance Andrew PRENTICE of London; Paul McELHONE of London; and Trevor McELHONE and his wife Mary Beth of Tillsonburg. Dear brother of Agnes and her husband Hugh LESTER of Lions Head, Gary and his wife Lynn of Tillsonburg, and brother-in-law of Shirley (Lawrence, 1975) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Mary, Katelyn, Laura, Mason and Trevor VAN PUYMBROECK, Patric and Ally McELHONE, Jill and Justin HAMMOND. Ed will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the memorial service being conducted in the chapel on Thursday, June 12th, 2008 at 3: 00 p.m. Rev. KLINCK, Margaret Eleanor (née METZGER)
(December 4, 1920-April 26, 2008)
Margaret passed peacefully into eternal life and light on April 26th in Chilliwack, British Columbia, surrounded by her loving family. Cherished mother of Julie KOENIG, Peggy and Peter HILDEBRAND, Jackie NUNNS, Jonathan and Sue KLINCK. Treasured grandmother of Laura and Chris GEBERDT; Anne KOENIG and fiance Laurence SPENCER Philip KOENIG; David SEIFERT; Chris McELLIGOTT and fiancee Marie-Pierre TENDLAND- FRENETTE; Joss, A.J. and Simon KLINCK. Great-grandmother of Conrad and Samuel GEBERDT. Precious sister of Alice and Claus ANDRESS. Much loved 'Auntie Marg' to many nephews and nieces and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, parents Alvin and Laura METZGER, brother John and nephew Bob METZGER. Margaret was born in Hanover, Ontario and it remained her home for the next 80 years. She married, raised her family, became a successful businesswoman and served in her church and community. In early 2001, Margaret moved to Chilliwack to live with her son Jonathan and his family. Margaret was an incredible woman whose love for her family and Friends took priority in her life. Her home was a place where people found a warm welcome, good food and lots of fun. Those people whose lives she touched valued her encouragement and practical support. Margaret's faith and her commitment to her community led to her involvement in many projects and activities at St. Matthew's and the wider church, with the Hanover Hospital and at Participation Lodge. She will always be remembered for her generosity, her strength, her sense of humour and her love of life. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover on Saturday, May 3rd at 11: 00 a.m. Interment at the Hanover Cemetery will follow. Donations to Global Hunger or Participation Lodge would be greatly appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.

At Longworth Long Term Care, London on Saturday, March 29, 2008, Gertrude (HILL) GILBROOK of London in her 97th year. Loving wife of the late Joseph GILBROOK. Dear mother of Cathy McELLISTRUM and her husband Bob, Betty BACKWELL, Pat SENESE all of London and Roy GILBROOK of Arizona. Much loved grandma of Patty, Sherry, Steve, Joel, Beth, Duke, Kara, Debbie and Darryl and twelve great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Ivy ELLIS and Alice HARRIS. Loving mother of Barbara Ann and Dan PROHASZKA of Strathroy, Beverly McELROY of London and the late Scott McELROY (2003.) Proud grandmother of Gregory and Michelle McELROY.
