WILKINSON, Robert Jeremy (1935-2008)
Died suddenly in hospital of cancer, February 4, 2008, in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Jay was born in Toronto, son of the late Doctor F.R. WILKINSON and the late poet and writer Anne (GIBBONS) WILKINSON. He leaves behind his brother Alan G. of Inglesham House, Swinden, Wiltshire, United Kingdom his sister Heather KONTAXOPOULOS and family George, Robert, Katherine of Vancouver.
In 1976 while living in Vancouver he met his beloved and caring Vivian HOLSTROM later to be married in Portland, Oregon to the great happiness of his immediate family, cousins and close Friends. Jay continued to persue his avid interest in photography and music (cello) while living a quiet life in Portland shared always with his endearing family pets. He continued to maintain his connections with Nora (EGUIDI) WILKINSON of Ottawa, mother of his niece Anna MacCHI (Francesco and 4 children) of Galliate, Milano, Italy.
Jay was always willing to share his happy memories of family, cousins and cottage-Lake Simcoe life and wished to return home for burial. To that end a private family interment will take place sometime in mid-summer at Christ Church, Roches Point, Lake Simcoe with reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Humane Society would be appreciated.
