Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008. John Arthur McMAHON, of Chatsworth and formerly of London, in his 97th year. Husband of the late Bessie McMAHON (née GRAYSON) and the late Elsie McMAHON. Loving father of Betty MUNDEN, of Chatsworth and Jacqueline REID and her husband, Don, of Terrace Bay. Proud grandfather of thirty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Agnes McMAHON; his sons, Walter, John and Ronald McMAHON; his brothers, Walter and Maurice McMAHON. A Funeral Service for John McMAHON will be held in the Chapel of the Currie Funeral Home, 239 Garafraxa Street, Chatsworth, Ontario N0H 1G0 (519-794-2631) on Saturday evening, July 5th, 2008 at 8: 00 p.m. with Rev. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008, at her cottage in Goderich, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Roy Stinton GOODWIN (May 15, 2006) and dearly loved mother of Dianne TAFF of Lambeth, David CLARK of Saint Thomas and Adam GOODWIN of Ottawa. Dear step-mother of Stephen and his wife Sheila GOODWIN of Ilderton, Christine McMAHON of Vancouver and Philip GOODWIN of Union. Dear sister of David and his wife Shirley BUTLER of England and much loved grandmother of Jason, Amanda, Dale, Hasumi, Tom and Luc. Sadly missed by several step-grandchildren. Life long best friend of Jean CROCKER of England. Patricia was born in England on March 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Phoebe and Ernie BUTLER. She was owner of Brazed Parts Ltd. (1973.) Pat was an avid gardener. A public Memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Monday at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Of Edgewood Drive, Woodstock, passed away at the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, June 20, 2008 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Sheila May KROHE (nee: SQUANCE.) Loving father of Richard KROHE (Isabel), London; Lorraine PENCE (Paul), Cambridge; Ronald KROHE (Ann), Langton and Lou Ann REEVES, Woodstock. Cherished grandfather of six grandchildren: Angela WEIR (Todd,) Chris POWELL (Tricia,) Matthew POWELL, Allie HAGERMAN, Chelsea KROHE, Courtney KROHE and great-grandfather to Charlie, Maxwell, Ben, William and Samuel. Dearest brother of Marion McMAHON (Late William,) Tillsonburg and Margaret VANDENBERGHE (Late Andre,) Tillsonburg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by all his coffee club buddies and his Friends at Andersons. Predeceased by his daughter, Linda KROHE (1959.) Passed away peacefully at his home with his family around him on Thursday, April 10, 2008, William Francis MAGEE, beloved husband of Margaret Elizabeth ELLIOT/ELLIOTT. Loving father of Joyce MAGEE, Kitchener; Basil and Cheryl MAGEE, Caledon; Joanne and Paul MYERS, Newmarket. Cherished grandfather of Shannaghn and her husband Kyle McMAHON, Tyler MAGEE, Haley MAGEE, Abagail and Mallory MYERS. Frank was a proud World War 2 Veteran and member of the Royal Air Force. He immigrated from Enniskillen, Northern Ireland to Canada in 1956. He settled his family in the Nobleton area. Frank celebrated his 90th birthday in February 2008. It was an honour to know and love him. The family will receive their Friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. MacMAHON, Mary Isobel (née KASTNER) (1912-2008)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isobel MacMAHON (née KASTNER) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in her 96th year on May 23, 2008, leaving a void in the hearts of her family and Friends. Remembered with love by her children Clive (Gloria), Martha, Sheila (Bob), grandchildren, Simon (Luciana), Shana (Dave), Jesse (Lisa) and Amy (Patrick). Predeceased by D'Arcy MacMAHON, brother Jack KASTNER, sisters Margaret MILLS, Bernice TUER and Gretchen DOWELL. Remembered by nephews Paul and Robert KASTNER, Hugh DOWELL and niece Heather DOWELL. Her long association with Grace Church-on-the-Hill, as a parishioner and volunteer provided comfort, support and Friendship. Mum loved her apartment at Belmont House where she avidly followed the Blue Jays, curling and golf. One of her special pleasures at Belmont was her twice weekly bridge games, a game she played since the age of 12. Isobel was born in Wiarton on the Bruce Peninsula. In 1901 her father built a family cottage at Oliphant on Lake Huron. She delighted in the 90 plus summers spent there with family, Friends and nature. The family wishes to thank Belmont House, Elder Care and the staff of 5D, Sunnybrook Hospital for their special care and support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and Friends will be held on Thursday, May 29, 11: 00 a.m. at Grace Church-on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road followed by reception. Born 1914 in Toronto, passed away suddenly June 23, 2008 at the Montreal General Hospital. Kay attended Bishop Strachan School and the University of Toronto, earning a B.A. from U.C. in 1934. She was a keen competitor at the Badminton and Racquet Club and an avid golfer at Rosedale (Toronto) and Royal Montreal Golf Club. A faithful volunteer for many organizations - the Junior League and the Sick Kids (Toronto), the Montreal Diet Dispensary (one of its presidents) and United Appeal. Member (President, 1982) of the Diggers and Weeders Garden Club and an enthusiastic bridge player for many years. Predeceased by her dear brother, William H. PALM and her beloved husband, Kenneth W. MacINTYRE.
Kay was a devoted mother to: Joan MacINTYRE, Cynthia McMAHON (Frank,) Scott OWENS (Jane,) Gail McROBIE (Fred) and Pat OWENS grandmother to Frank and Mary Katherine McMAHON; David, Jonathan and Hayley OWENS; Ian, Jordan, Kelly and Donald McROBIE; Heidi KEELEY (Brian) and Peter DE SCHULTHESS (Alexia) as well as great-grandmother to: Mitchell and Brianna KEELEY and Thomas DE SCHULTHESS. We will deeply miss Mum's steadfast support, love of life and dauntless spirit.
We are very appreciative for the loving care Mum received from the staff at the Griffith Residence and for the sensitive help given at the Montreal General Hospital. A memorial service will be held in Montreal at a later date, followed by interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.

Beloved husband of Constance Eileen (FEWTRELL) COOK and dearly loved father of Gordon and his wife Cheryl COOK of Calgary, Lois and her husband Shawn McMANUS of Saint Thomas and Robert and his wife Kathy COOK of Victoria, British Columbia. Dearly loved grandfather of Christopher and Denise COOK, David and Andrew McMANUS and Emma COOK. Harold was born in Montreal on October 23rd, 1920, the son of the late Archibald Frederick and Frances (HUGHES) COOK. Harold was a retired piano tuner and technician. He served in the Army overseas 4 years during World War 2. and after the war served 27 years with the Grenadier Guards. He was a member of Bryon-Springbank Branch 533 of the Royal Canadian Legion, London. A private family service will be held. Cremation with interment of ashes in the Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal. 75, of Tavistock passed away in the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 2008. She was born in Mosa Township, Middlesex County on March 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Isaac Roy SAYLOR and the former Elva Mae TUNKS. Doris was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Stratford; was a Past President of Women's Aglow and had been a long time volunteer at the House of Blessing and L'Arche in Stratford. She married Donald Percy DOAN at Bothwell on July 1, 1950. He predeceased her on September 22, 2000. She was also predeceased by her son, Paul DOAN. Doris is survived by two sons, David DOAN and Suzanne BROADBENT of Mississauga, Tim and wife Janie DOAN of Tavistock; two daughters, Joanne VERSTEEG and Chuck DRENNAN of Woodstock, Wendy and husband Ed BISSADA of Toronto five grandchildren, Raymond VERSTEEG, Ted BISSADA, Will BISSADA, Kate DOAN and Liam DOAN; one great-grand_son, Braden WALTHAM one brother, Ken and wife Linda SAYLOR of Bothwell; two sisters Betty McMILLAN of Tavistock, Bev and husband Clive HAMILTON of Sarnia; sisters-in-law, Edna RINGROSE of Kenora, Donna ADAM/ADAMS of LaGrange, Georgia and Helen DOAN of Saint Thomas. Passed away peace fully on Friday June 6, 2008 in her 83rd year. Previously deceased by her loving husband Gordon Stanley MacLEAN. Survived by daughters Sharon Elizabeth McMASTER and Terry of Kitchener, Linda Susan GEARING and Christopher JARVIS of Collingwood, grandchildren Christina and Paulo MONTEIRO and Andria Doreen VANEZI, great-grandchildren Sophia Maria and Marcos Alexandre of Kitchener. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at the Stayner Cemetery on Wednesday June 11, 2008 at 2: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Collingwood and District Humane Society or the Wasaga Peach Library.
