SUTTON, Stanley " Stan" Harold
Peacefully at Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Sunday morning, February 3rd, 2008. Stanley Harold SUTTON, of R.R.#8, Owen Sound, in his 81st year. Dearly beloved husband of Bernice SUTTON (nee LINLEY.) Loving father of Karen YEO and her husband, Troy, of Waterloo and Lori SUTTON, of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Jessica and Brendon YEO. Stan will be sadly missed by his sister, Mary ARMSTRONG, of Owen Sound, his sister-in-law, Anna SUTTON, of Collingwood and his many nieces, nephews and Friends. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Veronica SUTTON and his brother, Orville SUTTON. Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound, N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492), on Tuesday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Stan SUTTON will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 6th, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Jack TWEDDLE officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as your expression of sympathy.

At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Thursday May 22, 2008. Ken GOAR of Southampton in his 87th year, Beloved husband of Gladys GOAR (YEO) of Elgin Lodge, Port Elgin. Dear father of Patricia HAGEDORN of Stratford and Doug and his wife Anne GOAR of Saugeen Shores. Proud grandfather of Stephen, Jason, Jonathan, Jennifer and her husband Jason ALCOCK and Jeremy and his wife Karla, and great-grandfather of Nathan, Brynn and Kaleb. Also survived by his brother-in-law Bill KEALEY. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his Friends in the community. Predeceased by his parents, George (Joe) and Bertha GOAR (BROOKS,) by his 2 older brothers, Harvey and Gordon (Babe), and by his sister, Marion. Ken will be remembered for his love of family, for his many years as Southampton's Arena and Curling Club manager, curator of Bruce County Museum, as well as for the operation of Goar Wholesale. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Southampton on Thursday May 29th at 11 a.m. The Reverend Margaret GREENHOW will officiate. Interment Southampton Cemetery. A Time of Fellowship and Sharing will follow in the Parish Hall of the Church. Special thank-yous to Doctor Albert ANNEN, Doctor Brian DINGLE, Doctor Maria BOLDT, Doctor Cathy FAULDS, Nancy FULTON and the staffs of the London Regional Cancer Clinic, Victorian Order of Nurses, Medical Priorities and the Sir Adam Beck Building and to Reverend Steven YEO, Allan HUGHSON, Treana FELLOWS, Kathy NOBLE and Sheila SEALEY. From all of us, a very special thank-you to Penny CLARKE. The admiration and gratitude we feel for the 24 hour a day nursing and support staff of Parkwood's Palliative Care Unit knows no bounds. Somehow they are able to bring moments of joy and transmit strength to both patient and family through a most difficult passage.
