Blast from The Past – Granny’s Genealogy Gardens

Anyone who has researched southwestern Ontario genealogy in years past will likely have seen Fay Bertrand’s website, Granny’s  Genealogy Gardens. After Fay’s death in 2005, her website was transferred to Rootsweb; however, as many will recall, Rootsweb has had issues in the last few years, and on occasion has been offline more than on.

Ontario Ancestors, as part of its mandate to preserve many of the private genealogy websites which developed in the 1980s and 1990s, acquired the rights to Granny’s Genealogy Gardens and has now restored the site, which CAN BE ACCESSED HERE.

Ontario Ancestors stands ready to preserve and protect genealogy sites for future generations of researchers. Anyone with such a site who wishes to take advantage of our free webhosting and site preservation offer should email David Thompson at david.thompson@ogs.on.ca
