Heather is a professional genealogist with her own business, Dig Ancestry. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, including the Ontario Chapter, and has been a member of the Society for several years. Her 20-year career in the consumer packaged goods industry with such companies as Procter & Gamble, Dare Foods, and Hain-Celestial in the marketing, brand management, innovation and strategic planning areas bring valuable skills to the Society’s board. Heather also has seven years’ volunteer experience with the board of the Mississauga Ringette Association. Heather believes the three most significant directions for the Society are: to strengthen the membership by building loyalty with current members as well as attracting new members; to build on the research resources, advertising what is available, and gaining more digital access for resources and indexing; and to expand the communication infrastructure by vetting new technology and ensuring proper awareness and education for any new platforms.  Heather lives in Milton, Ontario.
