The NextGen Genealogy Network

A Global Network of Young Genealogists

Ontario Ancestors is pleased to support the NextGen Genealogy Network.  The NextGen Genealogy Network is a U.S based 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose focus is to create a venue for young genealogists to exchange ideas and experience the benefits of a vibrant, enriching and encouraging network of like-minded individuals worldwide.

The NextGen community is made of associates ranging in age from teens-75 and welcomes people of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. They currently have approximately 3000 members in 13 countries, and thanks to social media, this number increases daily.

One of their most popular features is Faces of NextGen LIVE! It is a periodic interview series, streamed live on their YouTube channel. Each episode features a new genealogist and past guests have included Blaine Bettinger, David Allen Lambert, True A. Lewis, Michael Lacapo and Drew Smith.

NGGN is always looking for ways to connect with fellow young genealogists. They encourage community engagement through blog posts, meet ups, social media, contests and Tweet ups.

In addition, they are also working some exciting new initiatives including an educational scholarship program, webinars and partnerships with genealogical societies.

NGGN members have an active presence at local and major conferences. Look for them at your next conference and watch for their next NextGen Meet-Up.
