The Society’s Coat of Arms

The Ontario Genealogical Society received the Coat of Arms in it’s Silver Jubilee year (25 years). The shield was designed by The Reverend Father David G. Bowyer, Rector of Lambeth, Ontario, and a member of our Society. The motto, Multi Priores Multae Patriae (Many ancestors, many homelands), was the inspiration of Mrs. Marjorie Simmons, the Society’s Past President.

Below you will find excerpts from the Societies Families Publication from February & May 1986 to learn more about this important part of our history.
