Description: From Petition to Patent: Crown Land Records at the Archives of Ontario

If your ancestors came to Upper Canada (now Ontario) in the late eighteenth century or in the first half of the nineteenth century, there is a good chance they received or bought land from the Crown. In this webinar, learn how they did it, what records exist to document it, and how to find these records in the Archives of Ontario’s collections. You’ll be surprised to discover what information may exist, even if your ancestors were unsuccessful in obtaining land from the Crown!
