The Ontario Place Name Search Tool
This search tool shows a list of place names in Ontario including hamlets, cities, towns, villages, townships, and regional municipalities. Included are both current and historic place names as known. The list also shows the Society branch that the encompasses that area.
The database will continue to be expanded to include lost villages, police villages, railway points and post offices, neighborhoods and more using local history sources. The Notes field includes time frame, boundary changes and other relevant information.
