ST-JOSEPH, CHATHAM, BAPTISMS, 1850-1942

St-Joseph’s Church, located in Chatham, Ontario, serves as a cornerstone of the local Catholic community.ย  The original church was built in 1847.ย  The current church was built in 1886 and was officially dedicated by Bishop John Walsh of the Diocese of London on 23 Oct 1887.ย  The distinctive twin bell towers were completed in 1916.ย  Throughout the 1990s, both interior and exterior underwent extensive renovations to preserve and enhance the building’s historical significance.ย  Today, St Joseph’s Church continues to be an integral part of the Chatham Catholic Family of Parishes.
