Description

The Assumption Cemetery Study was done over the summers of 1976-77. The grave markers were so difficult to read, that the church records were used extensively.

Part 1 is an alphabetical list of of Assumption Cemetery burials from the Assumption church records.  The file has 267 pages. This has been organized in alphabetical order, therefore please refer to the Index  which can be found here, before making a purchase.   The church records provide the most complete guide to persons buried, but since there are numerous typing and translation errors, please check the newest Burial Records of Assumption Church 1749-2018 completed by the Franco-Ontarian Research Centre found here in the Essex Marketplace or here in the Franco-Ontarian Research Centre Members Library.

Part 2 contains the photos of the headstones taken during 1976-77 along with the transcriptions of the headstones.  The photos are very difficult to read, therefore the transcription is often obtained from the church records.   The file has 147 pages including the index.
