Description

– Located at 166 West St., Lot 8, Concession 9, Smithville. The original wood framed church on West Street was built in 1856 on land donated by Martin Lally and was named in honour of its benefactor.  It became a parish 10 years later and remained active for many years. The first Mass was celebrated in a new building in June 1983. The cemetery is still in use and is well cared for.
