Description
– Located at 83 Church Street, St. Catharines. The original cemetery plot located behind the church was used mainly from the 1830’s to the late 1850’s. A new municipal cemetery, now known as Victoria Lawn Cemetery, was established in 1856 and the use of the St. George’s Church cemetery was discontinued. The graveyard site remained until 1936 when it was moved for the addition of a church hall. The stones were kept and arranged around the green space between the church and parish hall.
