Description

– The Church is located at 215 Station Street in Smithville.  In 1885 the property for the church was given by William Nelson and his wife, Margaret Wilson, in memory of the Wilson family. The cornerstone of the church was laid June 23, 1885, and the church was consecrated 31 October 1885.  The cemetery lies behind the church at 221 Brock Street.

This document includes 106 known gravestone transcriptions as recorded before 1990, revised 2001.  Also included are extracts of several obituaries (Haines, Cosby, Shepherd, Lounsbury, Dancer, Morningstar, Kilpatrick).
