Description

Located about a mile from the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, at the west end, originally a part of the land owned by Col. John Butler.  In order to discourage vandalism, the historic crypt in this cemetery was covered with a mound of sand and soil in August 2006.

This document includes 13 known gravestone transcriptions with historical notes (1910) and photos of the Memorial at the Butler Family Burying Ground (also a photo of the present entrance). The index shows 14 family surnames.(Blackbird, Brisebois, Butler, Claude, Clench, Eldridge, Freel, Langlade, Lyons, Muirhead, Norton, Richardson, Rist, Stevenson).
