Description

– The cemetery of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Colborne is located nearby on Pinecrest Road, within sight of the shores of Lake Erie, on the Broken Front, Lot 14,  Humberstone Township. It is the final resting place for many members of the pioneering families of Humberstone. Many of its stones record birth years in the eighteenth century, (eg. Johannes Weidmann, born circa 1786.) It has been known by several names “the Lutheran Cemetery”, “Lakeshore”, “the Beach Cemetery”.

This document includes known transcriptions for 228 gravestones (recorded 2006, indexed by surname and page#).  Also includes a few gravestone photos  – Shetstaline, Arnold, Kramer, Falkenhagen, Nochsel.
